I am a gardener in zone 8a and grow a variety of unique heirloom flowers, herbs, vegetables, and fruits. I enjoy growing new plants and experimenting in my gardens each year and then sharing my experiences each season. My family currently uses about a quarter acre of our land for gardening. We grow organically so that we are helping the beneficial pollinators to thrive in our gardens. We don't remove the dandelions in early spring, because they are the first food for honey bees! I make bouquets with flowers and herbs that I grow, as well as wildflowers that I find in the family's field. I have sold my bouquets at farmers markets in years past. I hope to have my own flower stand on our property someday soon!
