Really interesting concept

my impressions - after doubling, further tracks thicken a guitar sound at the cost of tightness and clarity. the benefit beyond 2x is minimal if you stick to the same sound, so tracking with a different amp/cab/guitar and panning them differently gets the most out of the technique. personally, i like two or three tracks for most purposes. one is underrated, too.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the Garageband and Logic stock amp sims. It just goes to show you that stock plugins do not have to be instantly replaced by paid stuff that we are often misled into thinking is "better". Often, it's not what you have that matters, it's how you use it. You can get a wide variety of tones from almost any amp sim nowadays.

my charvel came with this bridge and honestly I abuse it quite a lot and only adjust it very slightly. When setup correctly it also has incredible range as well. I only have to so regular string changes and lube the nut on occasion. Also great review haha.

it’s been a few days since, and i’ve only had to tune it slightly on occasion. even less often than my fixed-bridge guitars.

useful, inexpensive pedal. great for demos or live shows when you need to switch quickly between electric and acoustic sounds. works best on the "jumbo" and "enhance" modes in my opinion. both takes recorded using the middle pickup selection on my Charvel guitars, which activates the inner coils of each. full tone, full volume.

the clean channel sounds very good. master volume compresses as it's turned up. built-in cab sim is harsh depending on your guitar. boost pedals and external cab sims/IRs improve the tone significantly. EQ is responsive and there is a lot of gain naturally. noise floor is very low, but it's high in the last example because i didn't isolate the power supply. with the right IR it sounds better than many modern preamp pedals. small enough to fit on a board and takes normal 9V power. you can find them used inexpensively.
