I watch that guy on utube who says how the nfl has gone down hill and how the ratings are dropping. These past weeks the ratings went down 10% it doesnt sound like alot but in the nfl it can mean 4 or 5 million viewers. I like alot of Americans feel the nfl games are rigged. I mean how can the kc team always win in a 32 team league. I watched one of the games and they would run 2 or 3 plays and then a commercial would come on. In other words I sat down to watch commercials and a nfl game would appear now and then. And it was terrible to watch that kickoff system they have now. But it goes to show you how misguided some canadians are as they watch the nfl game and think it's great. It once was back in the 60s and 70s.

I have had other people complaining that “if you’re not showing the actual footage then don’t make it a video.” I am not going to make an entire blog just to get this one piece of information out. No one with a blog medium seems to be talking about this and there isn’t any footage out there of this.

Bad officiating has been part of sports since day one. This weekend's (Jan/18/25) NFL playoffs are no exception... The difference is the most egregious errors are overturned with video replay.

Another great video. In the 1990s, the Bombers and (I believe) the Eskimos played at Winnipeg Stadium after an ice storm. They played on a modified (i.e. short) field and used modified rules (I think they allowed 11 players and modified the field size, as the ice made the field much smaller). Thanks for the content. Had an old co-worker who was an NFL fan, and used to tell me that she didn't care for the CFL because the rules were "weird and silly". She was a Cowboys fan, and her second-favourite team was the Bills. The funny part was that in a two-week span, both her teams were eliminated from the playoffs due to what I believe are clearly inferior NFL rules: first being the Cowboys clip in this video, and then the following week, the Bills lost the coin toss and didn't get to touch the ball in OT. Meanwhile, the Monday morning after the 2017 Grey Cup, she comes in and says "that was a wicked game!" I'm like "yeah, those types of games aren't that rare in the CFL...you should watch it more"

As an American who is not yet familiar with the ins and outs of Canadian Football, this absolutely fried my brain. Someone please explain to me what is going on here because I don't understand why they're punting the ball back to each other.

My first memories of CFL football were from 1980. The BLUE BOMBERS started the year 0-4, and then went on an epic win streak, including a win over the mighty Eskimos, and that caught my attention and has held it ever since. Thank you for these nostalgic videos! They are truely great to see. GO BOMBERS GO!
