People praise Roger for his cinematography like he is some sort of deity. And rightfully so! But I'd like to take this moment to say what a nice chap he seems. You couldn't go much better than to sit with him with a pint and talk about world, society, movies, history ... What a guy he is!

I almost can't believe a legendary guy like Roger only did a matte painting once. One of the coolest ancient filmmaking tools. Love Roger, what a cool cat.

One of the worst interviews ever, host sucks so bad.

Wow the 'interviewer' is not making it easy for Roger. He's seems to struggle to stay awake or remember questions or who was in any of his films. He even hints he doesn't care for some of his films like blade runner. Jesus Christ ha ha. Get some coffee in him next time or get someone actually excited to talk to a legend in his field. Rogers information in the video was great so watch for that but try not to punch yourself in the face when the other guy talks. Ps... He think 'S. A. S.' Stands for 'British security system' ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

In comparison to most Roger Deakins interviews this man asks very great questions that provoke Roger to give answers he normally wouldn't. Although he might get lost in his thoughts a few times during the 2 hours in half he is clearly passionate and insightful about Deakin's work.

Thank you, and I love you! Heroic work, bro. Now, I’m watching the whole thing, start to finish, but it’s such a relief to know that I don’t have to keep too many time notes for when I return to this video. All the best and I hope you enjoy great film for many, many more years!

One would have thought that the people interested in cinematography, who recorded this, might also be interested in sound too...?? This video is very poorly recorded. I've read in comments that the sound gets better, but really....

feels like they tried to do it live. Also the video would be taken down if they showed the clips with sound. Still not watching this for the best audio, just watching it for the Deakins
