Thank you for this. I was saved 31 years ago and have seen great things from God in my life. I've had times of closeness with Jesus and times of back sliding. Recently, I've been anxious about Matthew 7:21-22. These verses still terrify me, but this message has helped ease that anxiety by reminding me that Jesus seeks me too...everything good doesn’t always depend on me seeking Him.

My dad has had crippling arthritis for years. A couple weeks ago him and my mom went into church and a woman praying on stage in the church said that there was a man with crippled hands in the audience and she was going to pray for God to heal him. My mom thought, she can’t possibly be talking about my husband. Let me tell you right now that my dad was taking multiple pain pills a day just to barely get by, he has completely stopped and is pain-free. It’s been three weeks. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I used to have high standards but since turning to Jesus i lowers myself and now face rejection often but each time I remember Jesus. I few bad but I suppose that without guilt, we could stray from Jesus, and it is the feeling of guilt and fear that part of what binds us. I thought about a lot. Even if we feel worse with our fearful nature, it is better to have it and know that we are true Christians. It brings us down, but it brings us together. Together, and down. Only then we can be saved.

I used to feel guilty less often but since turning to Christ and church groups I have started to feel guilty more often. At church we bring it up sometimes and our group agreed that part of faith is to celebrate our guilt, because it keeps us clean and beneath Him. Guilt might be part of our Christian culture that we inherited. I would not be ashamed of guilt as it is part of being a good Christian, and those that are not guilty might not be forgiven and thus might not reach heaven. I myself often have guilty feelings of not enough faith in God but I use this guilt to ask for forgiveness so I can be saved. I don’t think we should try to overcome our guilt but recognise it as part of being a Christian, even if it is difficult to live with. Even if we feel worse with this guilt, it I better to have it and know that we are true Christians.
