Our second trip to the Spearhead Trails in Va. This time to the Mountain View System. We stayed in St. Paul at the Western Front Hotel and were able to ride from the hotel to the trail head without trailering. Always a bonus.

I do H&M and I like doing the black trails are they about the same
I found the Spearhead Trails to be about the same as H&M. A little steeper in the hill climbs maybe. Otherwise similar.
Headed to St Paul for 2 days of trail riding on Mountain View. Great video, just what I was looking for!
that sucks when the markings are not good. Hatfield does a pretty good job with there maps
Where do you get the trail maps??
Hey Josh You can get a paper map any place you buy the trail permit. I use Lifetime Trail Maps while riding. What you see in the videos is from the Spearhead Trails website (pdf).

I seen the video of you going up trail 1A at Coal Canyon we came down a short section of it and it was steep coming down the video of you all going up was bad enough. Sure wouldn't have wanted to came down that whole section
I did record some but it rained a lot, so we will see what is worth posting.

David We've enjoyed the Spearhead Trails so far. Going back in a couple weeks. As you can tell from the videos, we don't do the hard stuff too often. These trails are similar to the H&M trails in WV. Thanks for watching.

i grew up in dunlow. alot of fun trails on and off the HMT
That is a great area to ride. I need to checkout the off HMT areas.
