@duckyquack8697 thanks man, we had been getting some insane luck with the onion knights. I wish I had started recording from the very beginning of our run to show how amazing it was. By the end of the run we had gotten about a total of 12 onion knights, I've never seen anything like that before! On top of which, we also got a treasure room filled with mandragora on the high high floors! Best run ever!

@sgnanbu2484 eh, I'm going for dual blades because it's super rapid hits which to me makes it feel like I'll land more hits vs slower weapons like long sword and what not. I'm gonna go with the legs and gloves from magnamalo and the rest I'm gonna work on getting the teostra armor pieces I don't have for the remainder slots. I'm disappointed that the teostra weapon seems to have less blast Stat than the magnamalo but I still intend to use my teostra longsword since I worked hard on it, but it is only rank 8. Probably gonna put more effort into magnamalo dual blades

@Veloso-hf1ux I just absolutely maul him with my rathalos lbg, ever since they introduced the dripstone, I grabbed Anja gloves and use rathalos helm with a Firestone that gave it fire attack lv 1 so the helm alone gives attack lv2, fire attack lv2, then Anja gloves gives fire attack 2 and the azure rathalos leggings gives fire attack lv1. Just shreds everything weak against fire now, especially banbaro

@sgnanbu2484 yep, but not as much since i had my accident, I just don't go put to play it but I'll do it on break at work or at my home if something is in the area lol

I haven't played as much lately because the temperature outside is too low 😅 don't want to damage my phones battery by spending too much time out there. As a result I don't have any grade 6 gear from the new monsters yet but, I'm not to crazy about the sets right now now, and zinogre is just a pain to farm anyway

Just the usual lbg load, Tobi head, paolomu chest, legiana gloves, great jagras coil, barroth legs

I didn't get much of a chance to go out Most pinkies I encountered were within range of where I was when I was busy The rest I found when walking downtown and I was so close lol

Honest, zinogre is the something I'm too happy about.. can only fight him in huntathons and that means he will be locked at what feels like is a full group hunts worth of hp. So I'm still using my ice lbg from legiana.. I have not once been able to find players to do huntathons with. I am however working on kulu DB though which I'm hoping to have as an alternative to always exploiting elemental weakness on monsters, zinogre included. Going to run with probably Rathalos helm, chest, rathian gloves, pink rathian coil, kulu legs

@Chris-nu4ji I can do 6* but it's either I have a good run or I just get a really bad run.. he roars a lot, sometimes he doesn't but I get a lot of runs where he roars for days. I'm using a 7* legiana lgb

Eh, been playing since soft launch, the weapon itself is just anjanath dual blades so it wasn't too hard. Late game when you're fighting 9* you're going to be holding on to a butt load of zenny because the game at that point only wants your irl money for easier progression, so achieving a red weapon wasn't too difficult. Though I do need more small bones and sharp claws 😅

I think I'm using rathalos helm g6, jagras chest g6, rathian gloves g6, jagras waist g6, and.. pink rathian legs g5 in this video along with Anja dual bladess.. my goal right now is to get the DB to g8 for lv4 rising tide

The bow is always going to have a special place for me. I'm keeping my thunder bow but I want to see what the other weapons have to offer, though I an considering a paralysis setup for DD. I can't wait for blast to exist though, hehehe

@@HolyNickTheHobbit yeah, I might just use the b diablos bow for the toughest of monsters, but using the dual blades is a lot more fun than just sitting back and shooting 😭

@ghosthawk5091 I think all long range weapons were getting a nerf anyway. IMO since they also increased the effective range of monster roars too, long range weapons were hit really hard

@ghosthawk5091 i can't remember if it was just bows or lgb included but they said they were reducing damage for non weak point hits too, so that's a significant nerf to ranged players imo

For me it's done very well getting me this far without changing to max reload and recoil. I tried max reload and recoil and I my few attempts on a high rank jagras didn't really go too well comparing to max recoil and fire lv5. That could easily be because I'm too adapted to higher damage per hit and enemies getting stunned more easily because of this though. For me, it was just my preference though

@HolyNickTheHobbit 9star? Don't think can kill right. I'm saving all my gem now. Waiting for Dec 7. If the decorations can't buff lbg then I'm going full bow. Lol. The dmg of bow is so stupid. 6-5 focus 5 water 2 glv n I can kill 8 star girros faster than my 7-5 lbg.

@alexcyj85 my my current setup for my rathalos LGB I can take down a 9* jagras but have only done it once, it has to be a nearly 100% perfect run getting perfect reloads with the right ammo type (piercing if you have the angle after without needing to reposition or slicing ammo) and two special attacks Also I'm happy with my jyura lbg in girros, it's pretty easy to take advantage of its attacks and get perfect dodge reloads for the spread ammo and just go to town on him. Not a fan of the explosive ammo though. It just doesn't hit hard enough imo

@HolyNickTheHobbit imo the jyura lbg just sucks. Lol. Thats why I have not upgrade it. The bow is performing better than it with a lower grade.

@alexcyj85 between the jagras lbg and the jyura lbg, jyura is definitely superior, but I haven't bothered making any bow aside from pukei bow and tobi bow, though I abandoned pukei bow early on during soft launch. Right now I haven't been able to play too much in over a month so my progress has been really slow but I should be able to get back into it a bit more starting tomorrow. U fortunately a day after black diablos event ends 🙄 at the very least it's just in time for dual daggers! Super excited about that, definitely working on that straight away! I have over 40k zenny to spend on that lmao

I don't mind not being able to not defeat all of them. I mean I can defeat 9* Great Jagras on a perfect run with 2 special attacks but that's about it so far. Because I am on the playthrough that gives access to 9* there is most definitely an increase in spawn rate of 8* this was my main goal in the 8* playthrough, to reach 9* asap so I can more easily gain access to the monsters that drop the R6 Material

​@@HolyNickTheHobbiti'm almost at 8* rathalos and in my mind the 9* wall is way too prohibitive... ironically i'd think pushing to 10* would be more desireable cause that would make 8* the default on the map

@freedomenico yes but it would be but you need 12 wyvern gems to go from grade 8 1/5 to grade 9 which means you have a looot to farm just to even reach rathalos. Unfortunately for someone like myself that likes to use the elemental weakness of my enemy, this is a hell of a lot more lol

@@HolyNickTheHobbit i use the 4 elemental lbgs and yea it's a lot of gems but so far so good. I'm in a spot where i'm not sure i should commit tobi to G8 since in a month we'll be getting zinogre (theoretically)

@freedomenico I am looking forward to that but my problem is that we don't know if it's going to be an event monster or not, it probably won't be since we are suppose to get two more habitats allegedly, volcano and some ice biome according to some data leak I seen in some video. But if that's the case, you'll likely still need some tobi materials anyway given at grade 6 and above, upgrading needs materials from different monsters

Jyuratodus leg for focus lv2 Rathalos coil for focus lv2 Pukei chest for focus lv1 Pukei hood for focus lv1 I usually use paolomu gloves for concentration because I don't care too much for burst but rathian gloves for the burst is a fine choice too This gives max level 5 focus which is important for any bow build, it's not 100% necessary but it makes it all around good for any bow build or even greatswords

Haha yeah jagras is the best to fight all around.. easy fight. Free zenny lol not a fan of any monster that moves far with any melee to be fair, thats why I main ranged weapons. Such a big DPS loss in a game that gives you a short time limit to fight

Yeah it gets pretty repetitive but at least it's something you can just get right into and have different experiences with when people are actually playing. Though my luck seems to be, "oh 20 minutes and I finally found a team.. and they woke everything up 3 seconds into the first incursion... and it's critical difficulty.." 🥺

Eh, I don't main LS anyway and I've been stuck inside due to recent events. Was just looking to experience something, not really new but different from the usual. I do plan on have an affinity setup for kulu sword in the future but that won't be for a while. But since I haven't been able to effectively farm lately I decided to spend what I had to.upgrade my kulu sword to what it's at now. I typically would use the special attack as a defensive technique to keep dps up though, to avoid taking damage but continue attacking since the special does make you invulnerable

Haha, I actually already knew that but I wanted to do my helm splitter anyway cause it's cool lmao it's just hardly got much opportunity to pull it off without missing or getting knocked mid-air anyway and in fights where I can take multiple hits, I feel safe taking that risk anyway 😮

@Sword_Saint. I looooved bow and spear + shield for kulve tarot, but when behemoth came out, I swapped to hunting horn and couldn't go back. Just loved it. When I beat iceborne a few months back, it was me and a buddy then two random doing the final story fight in iceborn. My full support setup had soon many heals go out, I'm 100000% certain the fight wouldn't have failed if it weren't for my heals being tossed left and right. I just absolutely loved it

Definitely it is of some benefit, especially to newer players, but as a whole, they could do better. I'm glad some people did like the event though, but I really hope they will do better

That white circle you see on the video is my screen interactions, so you should be able to see that I just swipe and then tap hold again, the second dodge is just another swipe. Since the bow charges injust dodge again to gain distance and a better angle. Perfect dodging still allows you to dodge one more time and still charge to the next level, usually
