This is a rare Marklin train set, with only 499 pieces made available. So it deserves a proper film showing how cool it is (long video alert!) It is factory weathered, nicely done by the way, and runs super smooth and steady with the 5-poles motor driving the BR44, DB, Epoch III, hauling six coal-dirty hoppers type Ootz 43 - ERZ IId. I tried natural lights for this video. Happy to hear any feedback. This rail bus is a perfect fit for Orielville as a local commuter. It runs super smoothly at low speeds and its lights are on at lower speeds too - not as most Marklin locomotives, which you can barely see any light except when they zoom in too fast. The interior lights make it look even better. Hope you like it.

Just great, ...love the way the original layout has been altered and thus supered. Really really nice, with a beautiful atmospheric density. Model railroad layout design at its best, ..just love it. And the freight train with the new version of the BR 86 is enjoyable as well. ThanX for filming and sharing. Take care Thomas W. Thanks for the kind feedback Thomas, really appreciate it. When I purchased my Noch Cortina I wasn't planning any change, but after I strated laying tracks and trying to add some ballast, there was no turning back. I improvised a lot and winged a lot and got lucky with the end result. I saw tons of layouts and pictures that served me as inspirations, and adddapted the best I could to my very limited space in the Cortina. I'm happy with it as is. I still need to add some more trees, light poles and maybe some catenary masts in the future (no cables though, as they are not good in Z scale and a pain to maintain/clean tracks). Let's see. It never ends! Haha

Could you take a shot from above so that you can see the system in its entirety? Would you do me a favor since I too am preparing to build a model railway system in 1:220 scale, obviously hoping to succeed, I don't have much manual skill and precision which I see you don't lack.
Excellent craftsmanship in creating the landscape and the roadbed, the trains are perfect, I also like the Z scale but for the landscape I don't understand how to make grass and bushes at 1:220 size can they be found? How big is the system?👏

Do you know what kind of motor does this locomotive have? Corless or iron core?
Z scale rocks. Not sure how many times I have seen this.. everything on that layout and rolling stock ist just world class

I really don’t know. Marklin website says it’s 5-poles motor but I don’t know about it being a coreless… it’s very quiet and runs very well in very slow speeds.
