Errr, I havent found a single chest in the game from fishing and my fishing is 110 and I have a purple rod with almost a full gearset buffed for fishing. I fish at hotspots all the time. Ive been stuck on the quest where you have to fish a chest. Ive even seen people say that you shouldnt wear gear boosting stuff because that makes you catch fish more but chesta dont count as fish or something? Idk but Ive tried everything and I cant find a chest

how do you taxidermy fish now? it wont let you salvage it to get the taxi version

As for this hot spot crisis i sure hope it's fixed by now. even if it isnt. i hope they do work on it. i love games with fishing best fishing games i feel in open worlds like this are minecraft and new world. 2:20 nwdb says fishing trophies do not stack. What's your take on that? Honestly, I've had a tough time trying to find any reliable information on this. Most people say they do.

Best in slot isn't better fish better then larger fish? For exp for sure and chance for rarer fish
