Awww thank you Sandra x
Best video ever!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
So the question is how does Barkley compare to a Maccas Marathon? 😂
@@jmcgown 😂😂 I felt better after a loop of Barkley!!
That's what's so good about trail running. You can be naturally human again. ☺
Yup I agree!!
You forgot drinking heavily to relax yourself 😂
Omg I did!! That’s a good one 😂
Gold 😂
Thanks 🤩
noway i came to this video from a david goggins short😭
Thanks ❤
🙏🏼
xD absolute jumpscare of a face, you should audition for horror movies
lol everyone who discovers their fav training routine does this. :)
Adding this to my program has made a massive difference! 🤟❤️
Love to hear this! Such an important component of training!
Insane. He looked very fresh at the end as well 👍
It was great to have you back on the air! I love listening to the podcast, yes always entertaining and I enjoy the laugh, but you guys always provide a great wrap up of any runs you do and they then go on the "must look at" list. I have done some of the Peak Endurance training webinars and attended the Poles Course and I like to be able to then hear how you both talk about the runs you've completed and it helps put context around the training webinars and the learning. Thanks! 😊 And yeah, keep on running 🏃♂️ You inspire this guy to keep moving forward 👍
Definitely put run tarra bulga on the list! And thanks 🙏🏼
Great to have you back, you sold me on the Tarra Bulga, maybe next year. My watch told me to take 2 days off after sunday in the Dandies, but 1 was enough.
Yes you absolutely should do it!! Haha! Sometimes my Garmin tells me to take 3 days off 😂 1 was probably just the ticket!
I listened to my body last week, I didn't need my watch to tell me I slept like shit and was tired af!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly 😂😂
this dudes mind is in a whole another level
Very good advise! Will try them all my next ultra 😀
Yep, running literally keeps you going, and routines/habits are a bit part of that. Personally, I'm always motivated to go out for a morning run, whenever I can. But I tend to ignore racing, so I guess for me it comes down to 'running for the running'. The gym? That's different 😑, I "motivated" myself by paying for a whole year upfront.. As for the lack of corny catchphrases: thank you, keep it that way!! 😁
That’s great that you’re always motivated for running! And noted about the catch phrase 😂
Excellent! Thanks for sharing this.
I have scanned Phil's barcode at parkrun!
Claim to fame!!!
Hi I wanted to know how he became successful individual and wht course he had done after 12th.......and the income I am looking further to him as I am a student
Beautiful message Isobel!!🥰
Thanks 🙏🏼
You always have perfect timing! I whimped out this morning to go run 🏃♂️ in the dark and cold, so did the exercise bike instead. I listened to the Pod on my way to work...., advice heard 😊 👊, and so tomorrow I'll get out there and not be such a precious 🤣 Thanks so much, the Pod's are always informative and personally challenging, and always make me laugh!😂
Exercise bike is nowhere as good as running so I’m glad you’re going to get out there 😁
I'm a sook with the cold and yes it's gets cold in Queensland! I would go to bed dressed for it! Get up and pop on my shoes! 😂🤟
Haha! Love it 😂
Love these chats, congrats on the 100s so far. Will get in contact when I’m back from holidays for some coaching.
Glad you enjoy them! And yes do, that would be awesome!
Excellent content, thanks guys!! :)
Great interview. Really good questions. Cheers
Thank you 🙏🏼
Phil Gore and his goals to break Strava and visit Disney World. Love it guys ❤
I know right 😂
Found the socks which work for me. Injinji toe socks for hiking and when I'm able to run again, it's feetures.
And once you find the socks that work, stick with them!
Isobel - get a shag cut. Great for curls, so much less effort to keep it. Pro tip I got from a runner at the Wilsons Prom 100. :P
Haha! Tbh I’m scared to get my hair cut 😂 and wouldn’t it be hard to tie up??
Great tips - the one about not wearing new socks made me smile. I made that mistake during a looped based event; my reward @12hours was to put on a brand new pair of my favourite running socks - but immediately my foot was sliding everywhere within my running shoes - 1 loop later I switched back to an old pair 😂
Haha! Oh no! Funny how what we think is going to be awesome just isn’t! Lucky it was loops and you could change back
Numero 2- I had a colleague at work tell me after my first 10km run, when I felt pretty proud of myself, that if I had a stop or walking break or slowed down to a jog, then I didn't Run the Whole Way and therefore was not "a runner"
Omg!! What a thing to say! 😳 and absolutely not true!
stay on that fucking grind 🔥
Yup absolutely 👍🏼
Fit-zinger :) that was a hard one. What is your view of the couch to 5km plan? (For a beginner)
I think for a beginner it’s ok. I think most online generic plans are really only good for beginners. Once you want to start seeing improvements, you need a coach :)
I think the only concistency in my life are the cats demanding food, me being chained to the desk for 9-10 hours a day and the daily coffee/teas. Oh and yin yoga twice a week which probably does nothing for my jogging. Time for some new habits! Thanks for a great podcast guys 🤯 mind blown
Oh golly! All that sitting can’t be good for you 😢
Hi Isobel & Ron Another great Pod 👍 I find consistency hard in recent times, both in two situations, 1) returning from injury, it has been hard to rebuild that mind set of getting out there after losing a level of fitness 🤯, and 2) in the last 3 years, I have had injuries coming in to the winter months, it gets dark and cold and getting the habits back in place for the consistency is hard going.... just my thoughts after this Pod! I know that is all excuses, and I know I just need to get up and go, but getting the head in the right place to move again has been difficult, but your Pods give me great advice and direction, thanks 😊 👍
Injuries suck, for so many reasons but mainly the time off training. Interesting that your injuries are coming in to winter; why is that do you think? Good luck for getting they consistency back on track!!
@@peakendurancecoaching I reckon my injuries come from enjoying the good weather pre Winter and then over train instead of following the plan properly ( run more to distance than time, run my speed because I feel good i stead of the planned 80/20). And that creates my injuries. Frustrating, but finally learning to listen, I hope 😁
@@matthewfagence9839 yes important to follow the plan!!
Always a pleasure to listen to Dr. Zulia, and to see real professionals recognize her expertise and uniqueness. Wonderful conversation!
Great goal
Thanks!
I couldn't find you on FB - the best "running advice" I ever got was from Gary Snyder, who told me to go somewhere and STAY there, steward it as your life's work. Hence I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1988, have been here ever since and look forward to my bones making music somewhere in the salal and salmonberry amusing the kinglets and cedars.
Love that advice! Here’s my Facebook link facebook.com/runizzyrun?mibextid=LQQJ4d
Love this so much and has given me lots of motivation to start incorporating some of those tips!!
Awesome! Glad it was helpful x
Thanks Isobel and Andrew 👍 will give this a go. Appreciate the history behind the product and the insight into its use and the scientific research and development!
I’m so glad you found it informative! Definitely give it a try, it’s brilliant stuff
Amazing effort, bloody heroic to run for 80hrs.
I know, amazing hey!
Amazing and inspiring
Total Stud. Amazing Individual. Australia is lucky to have warriors like her👍.
Really enjoyed this.Great interview and advice and a really great event. Glad I got to be part of it.
Fantastic interview Izzy and Lourdes!! 👏
lol from 46:45 until 50mins.... no sound so I missed what you were saying!
I know! I realised just the other day. We finally had good internet and it didn’t record. I don’t know what happened 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Great advice
Thanks 🙏🏼
