Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat believe that anyone who rejects the Khilafat of the rightly guided caliphs are Muslims but misguided. I mean Shi'at Ali also hold a similar view. They believe that you are a Muslim if you reject any of the twelve divinely appointed Imams but a misguided one. So Ayatollah Khoei calling Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat as Muslims in this world but disbelievers in the hereafter isn't some far fetched opinion. Also it isn't that such concept is being applied to the layman. The layman is unaware of most of this arguments so Allah (s.w.t) is the most merciful and he won't bring injustice upon his own creation.

Salam alaikum, thank you for this clip. With all respect but the answer is not convincing, it seems to be that no one really knows why that's a condition except that someone decided it at some point. Even looking at our history, we pride ourselves in learning as much as we can from Fatima Al-Zahra (a). She was a scholar and she was someone that people would listen to. She might not have been called marja', but if she taught the women something, they would follow, not dismiss it. Even men would follow her words. We are used to have female scholars among Ahlulbayt (a) who would teach on every issue and followers of Ahlulbayt (a) would listen and adhere to their talks. We have al-Masooma (a) even as a child, she was so knowledgeable. So I'm still not sure what the difference is between being a scholar worth listening to, and being a marja, when it comes to women. Yes, marja'iyyah is a huge responsibility. But looking at how vague many women's issues are, or even many issues that are not about gender but generallyabout critical research, what is the problem if a woman understands it better and people decide to follow her opinion? It's not up to others to ask what if she can't go out because of her husband - not all women are married.And many women would get the full support of their husbands. Besides, in my whole life i have never seen Ayatullah S Sistani, but I follow what people report from him, and what he has written in his books and messages. I mean no disrespect but this is not enough, wa salam alaikum

The answer to the brother's question about the Prophet (pbuh) naming the 12 imams (as) would have made it easier is refuted by the historicity of Muhammad al-Nafs al-Zakiyya's claim of being al-Mahdi based on his name and lineage which was: Muḥammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Ḥasan al-Muthanna ibn al-Ḥasan al-Mujtaba (as) ibn 'Ali (as). It would be much much harder to discern who the imam is because those who wanted to claim the matter for themselves would simply name their kids accordingly. It's not to say that the Prophet (pbuh) did not name them, it just wasn't mass-transmitted due to taqiyya.

Syyed Ali Abu Alhassan is one of a kind. He should be known by every Seeker of truth.
