A waterproof digicam for unlimited camcorder-like footage
Panasonic Lumix FT1 (or Lumix TS1 in some regions) is a fun little action digicam that records camcorder-like, nostalgic video footage and takes vintage-looking pictures thanks to its CCD sensor. And because it's waterproof and shockproof, I took it to rainy Copenhagen to take pictures in bad weather conditions.

Three picture recipes for Lumix cameras (with samples)
Просмотров 26421 день назад
Fujifilm is famous for their film simulations, but Lumix cameras also have pretty extensive picture customization options. I have experimented with the settings on my Lumix LX100II and came up with 3 picture recipes that work especially well with the bleak winter weather. They should work with almost any modern M43 Lumix camera. You can also find the recipes summarized here: www.threads.net/@sn...
An almost perfect compact camera with a catch
Просмотров 3,7 тыс.Месяц назад
Despite being more than 6 years old now, the Panasonic Lumix LX100II is an almost perfect compact camera to get, even in 2024 (or possibly in the future if you are watching it later? let me know). A nice everyday carry with great picture customization possibilities. You can even make jpeg recipes for it. However, as always, there is catch. All picture samples are my own photos shot on Lumix LX1...
POV street photography in Malmö, Sweden | Sony a7II + vintage Tokina RMC 28mm 2.8
Просмотров 742 месяца назад
I spent a week in Copenhagen, Denmark, and decided to take a short trip to Malmö, Sweden, just a quick train ride across the bridge. So here’s a calm POV photography video where I capture the city's streets using my Sony a7 II with a vintage manual lens - the Tokina RMC 28mm f/2.8. I picked up this setup just a couple of days before, but I have to say, I love the film-like quality of the photos...

A half-forgotten tiny Fujifilm for the *vibes*

A half-forgotten tiny Fujifilm for the *vibes*
I own a gx80 and i love using that camera (even if its high iso image quality isnt that good)and i think it have better ergonomics than gx9. They should do next editions fir both the gx80 and LX100. 25MP sensor, weather sealed, PDAF, real time lut and lumix lab app support. The lx100 can rival the fujifilm x100 series with that. If possible, they can also include an nd filter and leaf shutter like the x100. If not a leaf shutter, i been always thinking about a deactivatable IR cut filter in a compact camera. No need for expensive converting your camera permanently, just witha click of a button u can start shoot on infrared. And with the real time lut u may even add a correction lut over it right away. How cool that would be!
gx80 is indeed one of the most well-rounded Lumix cameras out there, I might get it next year for myself as a fun little camera and for these B&W profiles. I agree that a gx80m2 or an LX100m3 with at least 20mp would be just perfect.
@shelkiefilm yess!the B&W profiles on it is soo good. Especially the high contrast BnW filter in creative filters. I just use a function button to activate creative filter with this filter selected already and like that, with a double press u can quickly switch to BnW and its soo good.
Thankyou for a fantastic video. You have inspired me and got me excited for my newly purchased E-pm2.
Thank you for watching! E-PM2 is an amazing camera, hope you have a lot of fun with it.
Thanks for the reply! My E-pm2 is coming with the 17 2.8. The 20mm images to me seem a bit nicer to my eye. Is there a reason you like to keep both lenses considering the sizes and focal lengths are so similar? I appreciate your feedback.
I have actually sold the 17 2.8 lens recently. I liked how compact it was but the 20 1.7 is just much better optically, it is more sharp, has better contrast and colors. And indeed, it did not make sense anymore to keep both of them :) The 17 2.8 is still ok though especially for super casual or beginner photography. And you can always sell it separately later, it goes for a decent price (I sold mine for about $130 on a local marketplace).
I will try them out, thanks for the effort and sharing! Looks very promising :)
Thank you for watching and kind words 🫡
Great photos, but I found the soundtrack/music really jarring 😖
Thank you for posting, I have an EPL7 coupled with a TTArtisan 18mm 6.3f body cap lens and will definitely try these simulations. Always good to experiment with images.
Thanks for watching! Would love to see the results you get, I am curious about this lens 🙌🏻
FYI the smallest interchangeable lens camera with IBIS is the pentax Q
Yeah I remembered about it when editing. The sensor in the Q is much smaller though so the pen mini still deserves a lot of respect 🌝
Blown highlights!
Absolutely lovely video. I thought sure you’d have more subscribers… Wow, well you’ve got one more! Thanks for sharing!
@@TrapPhoneLoveMelodiesss thanks a bunch, appreciate it.
Love the idea, might have to steal it! I was an early adopter of m43 since EP2 and always loved the olympus for their easy to customise color profiles. Something about olympus colors just work, its in the yellows or something... Great shots, love the beautiful video tour of Berlin as well.
Love the video, subbed! I've been evaluating a few advanced compacts on my channel including both LX100s and they are both my favorite and the most frustrating cameras. Dust on sensor is noticeable at F16, sluggish handling with zoom and focus.. Really needs a mk III that perfects the formula.
Nice, thanks mate! Yeah slow zoom is actually annoying, true. Leica has a D-Lux 8 now which is again the same camera but newer and faster, maybe that’s the best way to go. But again, a bit too expensive :)
Excellent video.
Thanks a lot for watching and for the kind words!
1:44 thought I was tripping but there’s a video of Panasonic campaign with a photographer, that location is beautiful
Such a good one
🙌🏻
Price ???
Watch the video then you'll have your answer.
I really enjoyed this video as the photo results are amazing! I am playing with film recipes and applying them to my Lumix Micro Four Thirds cameras from that same era (GF3, GX1 & GX85). I'm wondering, what film does each of your recipes mimic? They are all great.
@@brendanclark81 thanks so much! Appreciate it. I did not aim at any specific film stock exactly, but recipe 1 was inspired by portra 400 (I found iso 200 works better though) and recipe 2 by kodak gold.
This really makes me miss my A7II. Loved the colors that sensor captured. I recently adapted a vintage 28mm all manual to my A7C and been having fun with it as well!
Thank you for the recipes. Very nice results.
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the results :)
That monotone recipe is so good!! Also the muted with low gradient is so nice as well. Nice job man!
Thanks mate, appreciate it! I am genuinely surprised by how cool and interesting the final pictures are from these old cameras. Now I want to try these recipes with newer Olympus cameras with 16 or 20mp.
@@shelkiefilm I've been testing your recipes on my E-P5. For the most parts very comparable. Maybe the colors are a touch more saturated on my 16MP EP5 and definitely more dynamic range. Monotone looks identical. The muted recipe doesn't look quite as nice on my EP5, or maybe the light was just better in your shots. Overall very nice results, thanks man.
Nice! But where are the Recipes?
Thanks! They are in the description: www.threads.net/@snapsbyshelkie/post/DAlLGc1Nsd7?xmt=AQGzt9grRvhbt_2yXw3Uslts71CoEx5z1DvZyDVTQqjrWg Did not find a way to put them in the video
Great, thank you :)
Well done man. Crazy to see its the first video you posted. Keep them coming!
