The majesty of mridangam can seen guru Trichy shankaram sir my sastanga pranam

It is amazing how gamakas come easily in this instrument. Raga bhava and sangathis are well played. It is amazing as the instrument is not suited for carnatic music where swara sudha and swarasthana sudha are important. Kudos to late Srinivas who introduced this instrument to carnatic music.

Excellent concert that contained in-depth treatment of Haridasa Kritis as well as a very good Lecture Demonstration on the contribution of Sri Sreepada rajaru on formalizing the Karnatak music framework. The lecture Demonstration is at 2:30:00 in the video. Several people said that the concert was one of the best they had heard.
