Swing Balance Multi Stik Hip-to-the-Tip Drill
The Hip-to-the-Tip 3 Pump Drill is a great drill to hone in that feel of keeping your trail elbow tucked in while working your transition from the trail heel to the lead heal. The bar helps to identify if you are maintaining an "on plane" swing, too.
This move is coached in several different ways, but my interpretation has worked well for me so I'll coach it that way.
Get into a golf posture and take a split hand grip on the bar. Make your turn back into your trail hip. The split hand grip will aid in keeping the trail elbow tucked close to your body. At the completion of the turn back, keep your butt back and initiate a down swing abruptly stopping the move just prior to impact position....

    Great video! Any experimenting with a level 5 or stronger lat bar as a pull up bar attached via climbing carabiner?

    • @thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434
      @thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434 5 месяцев назад

      @@altruisticscoundrel … yessir. I have tried that exact move with the Level 3 (now named Lat 200) and the Level 5 (now named Lat 300). I used a standard utility strap wrapped around a rack connector bar and over existing pull-up bars. The utility strap will lower the pull-up setup a few inches so 9-foot rack helps keep you off the floor with the need to pull your knees up or feet back. The single point connection from the utility strap to the lat bar will open the door to you slowly spinning around unless you stay perfectly centered during the exercise. I countered this by using 2 utility straps placed just outside the attachment sleeve on the bar. That worked very well. The natural lag in the bar really challenges you at the top of the pull.

    I like the idea of these bars, although the lightest one seems weak weight capacity wise. I'd be curious what sort of long term durability these things have. It is plastic but if made well it could still last

    • @thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434
      @thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434 9 месяцев назад

      It’s a technology one needs to learn in order to understand it. The SPEED Bar is about 12-lbs itself. Add 25-lbs to each side and you have a 62-lb raw weight setup. When this setup has a bar velocity of 3.9 fps the dynamic load at the point of eccentric/concentric transition can equal 415-lbs. Training with a Tsunami Bar offers various training effects one being impulse forces which have the ability to surpass equivalent training using a standard steel bar in muscular recruitment of stabilizers and prime movers. Cardiac output is also superior. Reduced soft tissue and muscular abrasion is also a result of Tsunami Bar training. As for durability, we use a No-Break composite shell that has performed exceptionally well over a 12 year period.

      Ya that's fair. The amount of weight one could put on it is probably a lot less than with a normal bar, especially if done fast. @@thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434 I use a 1 inch plate setup at my home gym and recently discovered I can keep my old setup and just buy a new Olympic sized bar so long as I remove the ball bearings on the end so they fit into my old plates (I need to do this, as 1 inch bars are not built with the same quality anymore and thus I can't lift as heavily as I'd like to). Do these use removable ball bearing ends, or would I have to use it with a 2 inch set up?

    Will I have the same affect on the body by just using 2 25lbs plates on each side for the speed bar and force bar for speed work out? For example if the speed bar with the 25lbs plate have a 100LBS affect will the force bar be the same or lighter or heavier being it can handle for weight?

    • @thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434
      @thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434 2 года назад

      Each Tsunami Bar has different internal components that will react differently not only to the raw weight used but also where the weight is positioned on the bar. For instance, a SPEED Bar with 40-lbs on each end will produce a different load and release force depending upon if the weight is positioned all the way out to the collars or if 2”, 4”, 6”, etc of spacers are used. So, the combination of internal components, amount of raw weight, positioning of the raw weight, and bar velocity all affect the dynamic capacity of each bar. A 25-lb plate on each end of a FORCE Bar will not load equally to a SPEED Bar with 25’s on each end if both bars were moved at equal speed. Now, to really complicate things, there is some overlap areas for each bar. A FORCE Bar with 45’s on each end positioned all the way out will react very similar to a SPEED Bar loaded with 45’s and 6” of spacers are used between the collars and the plates. Positioning plates toward the center of the bar effectively stiffens. This will allow for some overlap from the SPEED to the FORCE and the FORCE to the MAX.

      Wow! Those are really impressive numbers for a 14-year old. Please allow me to ask about his foot speed (40 time), vertical jump, and broad jump. The reason I ask is that as impressive as his absolute strength numbers are if his ability to deliver force into the ground isn’t as impressive his ability to progress his athletic potential may be the area to focus on making the SPEED bar a better option. The SPEED bar is excellent when used in Plyometric bounding.

    Hi, great video for noobs getting into the Tsunami lineup. Wanted to know your thoughts about the standard grip -90 bar. 1. Do you think that this bar could safely hold 100? 120? 135? pounds and still function as intended through a full range of exercises? I have a large basement gym but space is a premium as well as storage. I have a big investment in barbells already (Bandbell Earthquake, Kabuki Duffalo, Kabuki Trap Bar HD, Kabuki Transformer SSB, Reps Fitness Football Bar, Rogue Olympic Bar, Rogue Ohio Bar, Rogue C-70-s, Rogue Dumbbell bumper bar c-60-B, Rogue EZ-curl bar, and Rogue aluminum technique bar.) Eventually, maybe I can figure how to “fit” the 90” level 3 bar.

    • @thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434
      @thelowdownfishingexerciseg6434 3 года назад

      Hello, and thank you for the question … Yessir. You do have a collection of bars, and with that collection and depending on the type of training you prefer one of the 90” Tsunami Bars (SPEED, FORCE, or MAX) would likely fit your overall setup better. However, the SG-90 bar is a nice little accessory bar. To answer your question, though, that bar would not function well as a dynamic, oscillatory bar where bar velocity is applied with more than 90-lbs (45 a side). The bar is only 72” in total length and weighs approximately 11-lbs, and I generally use it for some type of speed and/or volume work.

      Thank you for the question. There should be a Shad spawn happening on Moultrie right about now. Grass lines and rip rap are places I like looking for Shad spawning and if you find em I like throwing a white chatterbait around them. The bass will bite other baits but the chatterbait allows you cover a lot of water which helps when the Shad spawn is most active from daybreak to maybe 8:30. It’s a small window but it can be very productive. Outside of that these post spawn bass will stage on some deeper trees and/or hang around bluegill beds. Crankbait and worm on trees. Shakey heads in bluegill beds. Always keep a frog and senko ready.
