It's Rekordbox 7.They changed the UI a little bit compared to last version, so it looks a little different.

Thank you! I have a pretty scrappy setup currently. I just stack random props on top of each other and attach my logitech webcam to the top of it. It's not the best, but it works. Probably the best thing I can recommend is getting a tripod, some of them even come with a phone holder attachment. I think the cheaper ones start at around 20$-30$. Tripods can take up quite some space though, so just keep that in mind. Hope that helps!

I currently only get my songs from soundcloud

I set a hot cue with a 16 bar loop. On the hot cue there is a little red arrow which means the loop is active. This will cause the loop to automatically activate when reaching the point in the track where you set it. On the DDJ-FLX4 you can activate it by pressing shift + 4 beat/exit. Thank you! It really means a lot to me. I always just try to do what sounds right to me. The advice that helped me the most is to listen to other dj's sets and see how they do it. It can give you a lot of inspiration. You can then just play around with it and see what sounds good to you. You can be pretty creative with it.

Thank you! If you analyze a track in Rekordbox, those phrase markings will automatically be placed most of the time. I've never really bothered with changing them myself. I use the performance pads on the controller and select hot cue. Then I go to the point in the track where I want to set my hot cue and simply press on the performance pads to place them. Hope that helps!

I think the Software is Recordbox and a DDj Flx 4. You can get a used one for 200-300$

The software I use is indeed Rekordbox. I'm personally really happy with the ddj-flx4, it's a great beginner controller. Hercules controllers are a little cheaper and also a great option for beginners, I don't have experience with them so I can't say too much about them. I've been DJing for around 4-5 months now. @@dance-nx4 I have the FLX4 and it's amazing for a beginner, just try not to use the smart fader for too long and learn to change tempo without it, you will need that whenever you switch to a better controller

Thanks! I use obs on my laptop to record rekordbox, including audio. I have a webcam that is connected to my pc which I use to record the dj controller (also with obs). So I use both my pc and laptop, it's not the best way to do it but it works. If you happen to have a camera and a tripod I'd recommend using that to record the controller, even your phone could work. Glad you like the mix! I do sometimes run into copyright problems when making a mix. When I do, I just switch out the track that's causing the issue.
