Little Acre Best Campsite in Crooklands Cumbria
glad you've enjoyed yours. I have an engwe engine x which I bought last October, done similar mileage. just a few things to note, I changed the metal fenders to plastic ones as these can rattle and eventually fail. the mid suspension has no bushes in the centre pivot so you have a stainless steel axle bolt going through an aluminum frame. the rear part of the swing arm by the rack has plastic bushes which are a bit weak. over time you will end up with a wobbly back end. luckily you can buy off aliexpress some brass self lubricating bushes for both the pivot part and the rear. the centre hole will require drilling out to accommodate the brass bushes but it will protect the frame from wear. the ones for the rear part won't require drilling. another thing about the mid suspension are the actual bolts themselves, i found they were too short meaning that when they were tightened up it bound the suspension to frame not allowing any movement. i solved this by buying some M8 86mm axle bolts with M8 spacers. you've got hydraulic brakes on yours because it's the pro version but I upgraded my front disc to 203mm because mine is mechanical. on early models of the x/pro and ep2pro I think the brace that goes from the seatpost to the folding hinge was 3/4 length and the same with the weld underneath. these were prone to failure as a lot of stress is applied to that part of the frame and some snapped. they later revised them and extended both the brace and the weld to the hinge giving extra strength. no failures thus far. but for peace of mind I've put 2 straps of banding around that part and tightened them up to act as a safety net. I'm a heavy guy so if it snaps i won't crash and burn. that's my experience with the bike and despite the flaws I absolutely love the thing. I've done so many mods like dual battery with balancer kit, extra wide saddle with back rest, bmx bars, 56t crankset, 11/34 freewheel, 203mm disc, power analyser wired in, phone and bottle holders, bar mirror and more. the most comfy bike I've ever ridden and has lots of torque. when I've finished the rear custom rack it'll have a bigger 25ah battery on the back and some quick release pannier bags. total battery capacity will be 38ah allowing me to venture further without battery anxiety!
Wow your bike sounds Fantastic thank you for the advice and for replying
Great drone shots and nice guitar playing Stevie ! What drone do you have ?
DJI mini 2 thank you for the thumbs up
It was nice to see, what has changed on Camp Du Domaine in the last 25 years, my last visit. It seems the beach has become narrower because an additional row of camping places has been built there. This makes more money for the owner and less comfort for those who like to lie or sit at the beach. And the trees have become less compared to former times, especially when I think back to the 1960s, the first time I was here.
I love it there ❤
Thanks for a wonderful trip through Skarsvag. i watch the live cam in Skarsvag all the time. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for the drone footage. Could I ask if dogs are allowed on the beach? Cheers.
Hello, yes Dogs are welcome on the campsite and the beach at certain times of the year.If you look at the camp du dommaine website it says what times of the year
Many thanks. Website didn't specify on the beach hence asking someone that's been.
I think the place is pet friendly April till end of May and then also Sept Oct
Cheers. What was your overall opinion of the site?
WE have been 6 times staying up to 6 weeks at a time.If you book four weeks and pay you get fifth week for free.We would give this place a ten out of ten every time.
Awesome, that bit of coast is the best view when coming south isn't it :)
Like you I have seen that view hundreds of times ,I just wanted to see more of the view so the drone had to come out

Stunning!
Hello Steve, how does the van cope in the freezing conditions?
I put minus 30 screen wash in undiluted,it dosnt work.I have uk snow tyres fitted and i have snow chains which i have used. The dashboard heater is almost useless .If the chinese diesel heater packed in i would have to get south pronto.I run it all day until i get into bed.then switch off.In the morning i put the heater on and go back to sleep for an hour. Then i start the engine and let that tickover for 30 mins before moving.apart from that the vsn is amazing bare in mind the max i am parked up with the engine off is 48 hours even when parked i start the engine regularly. In fact I love my van it has done and is doin the bizz.I get the ferry back to England on Dec 18.
Here are some photo's Greg to give you an idea of late nov and early december north of the arctic circle dogslow.smugmug.com/ARCTIC-ADVENTURE-NOVDEC2021/
