V2 Simple LADDER Lift Asphalt Shingles or Solar Panels on the Roof
We have seen the fancy DIY ladder lifts here on RUclips, but we didn't want to take a lot of time to make something we won't often use. We built version number two this lift for no cost since we already had the hoist from our Well Pulling system. The other materials we had laying around. It took us about 30 minutes to complete, and saved us because we couldn't get rooftop delivery in this remote location.

I had to jump start a battery, it shows 1 bar now but shows it's charged and still 1 bar ,battery is pushed fully in ,any idea what's wrong ?
Good day to you. I have seen this happen when the cells get out of balance. Is this unit still under warranty? If so DeWALT is very good about replacing these. If it is out of warranty service, I would try cycling it 5 or 10 times to see if you can get the cells back in balance. One or more of the cells may be undercharged, or faulty.
Mine randomly stalls after like 1 hour or so of driving and i have to wait 30 minutes before it'll drive again when i start it stalls until it cools down
@@1985eldorado Do you have a spark tester? When it stalls I would check for spark first.
@jeffcunha9114 it starts but it stalls again even when I floor it I just replaced the spark plugs and wires
@ Oh man. That sounds like a real challenge! I am still wondering if it is fuel or spark. Do you have any OBDII codes from your Honda that could point us in the right direction?
How to remove printing head if the printer doesn't work
Hello, I think you should be able to adjust the print head from its parked location. Does your printer not power on at all? What are you trying to accomplish? Thanks
What a great quick fix. I was about to put the bad battery and the battery recycle bin at the local home improvement store. THANKS!
Brilliant! Nice work. Particularly if you don't do it every day, real easy to hurt yourself carrying heavy items up the ladder every day. Far better to spend an extra minute just letting the winch doing the work.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Yes, we normally have our roofs loaded, but this particular home has a driveway that was too wet and steep for the commercial roofing truck! Are you in construction as well? We are happy to have you around these parts!
@jeffcunha9114 No, just a bit of a DIYer. I'll watch professional roofers hustle up the ladder with multiple bundles 😲 I'm far too much of a wuss for that. Last time we redid our roof we actually built a wooden crane with a pulley and attached it to the roof. Someone on the ground would grab the other end of the rope and go for a run 😆
Awesome! We are DIYers ourselves and love to see what ideas people come up with. Do you have a video of your roof loading setup? It sounds fun! 👍
Well crap, I read the instructions and everything. Thanks for the help😅

You dont frame a roof level, you have foundation or floor framing issues or an undersized/shrunken header.
I understand where you are coming from. Here is a question, how many home owners can afford me to do a full rebuild? Many times in our business, we are trying to get the most out of every dollar for our clients.
@@jeffcunha9114 if its a foundation issueor flooring issue it still has to be fixedit might be helixcal piles or just grouting the mudsill or replacing rot
That is a good point.
would it be more costly to run insulated bus bars, and just having termination points uninsulated
I have seen some run insulation on the buss bars. With the locking cabinet, I don't mind them open. What setup are you running? Thank you for your comments! 👍
Did you fix it?
@@TheCrazyGolfer Good day to you! Yes, after inserting this battery several times when making this video, it took a charge... And is still working strong with our construction 18v to this day.
Nice to hear.. Maybe i need to keep trying 😁
@@TheCrazyGolfer Yes, I would keep trying. If it won't take a charge, you may have to try jump starting it. If you have a meter, check the state of charge in volts.

Wouldn't anyone if it wasn't charging check that it's fully pushed lol already checked that.not charging.

Applied for phone in mid October of this year and haven't gotten my phone at all
We are sorry to hear about this! Did you get it now? It has been a long time since we made this video...
Unfortunately no and I have tried multiple times to get in contact with them but no one is available
I wonder if they are still in business? They transferred us to AirTalk this year.
Just curious. I read up on using 15W40 in gasoline engines. The article I read suggested using 15W40 in a gas engine will lead to the engine breaking down faster. The article stated it could lead up to the injectors becoming clogged. The article points out most people believe 15W40 has a higher viscosity. The article concludes by recommending the continued use of 5W20 motor oil. Great video, thank you for sharing.
Good day to you. Thank you for your input on this matter. What oil to use is always such a hot topic. I ran the 15-40 through the hot Northern California summer months where we get 100+ regularly. Now that we are in the winter, I am back to 10-30 Rotella T5 synthetic blend. Can you share the article you were talking about. I certainly do not want to damage this 275,000 mile engine since it has been so good to us!! It did seem happy with the 15-40 over the summer.
Thanks man

@ cheers mate I’ve just watched another video where you take it apart it’s worked on one. 🤞
@@camkai1998 Thank you for the update! That is great news!
Why did you have to undo the brackets?
Good day to you! We installed the brackets on the side of the batteries, because they are not installed for packaging purposes. The bracket mounting screws are pre-installed. Remove the screws from the battery, install the brackets, and reinstall the mounting screws! 👍
Small complaint. But midea made it a friggin pain in the ass to get the actual unit out from the box. Theres no where to grab the unit, when you put your hand between the unit and the box to pull it out, your hand gets stuck and it hurts while youre pulling it out.
Good day to you. I am going to try and clean this thing when we put it back in for the summer. It is in storage at the moment.
Son of a gun, it worked!!😂 had a fairly new 5amp battery that had this issue. I was worried that it was gone or that dewalt would say it needs replacing. Saw the video and it worked! Thanks!!!
Thank you so much for your report! We are very happy to hear that you have a working battery again.
In April 2024, when our central air in our north central Texas home quit working and it was going to be a while until we could get it fixed, I purchased what seems to be the same unit as in the video. Even though I had a very low opinion of window air conditioners, I love our Media! The above said, I would like the Media to come out with a hybrid DC solar / AC 110 air conditioner / heater version similar to the the mini-split competitor brand in the linked video. ruclips.net/video/vOEBlV2986M/видео.html I don't have an opinion about the linked unit other than I want a Media (U slot window style) with similar capability to the EG4 competitor. Based on my data collected, I think a Media solar hybrid would pay for itself. A bit of strange data, since for unrelated reasons, I did not run the window air conditioner over the summer. However, here is data for our home in north central Texas for the late spring (not all that hot) and fall (hotter than normal). In the fall (unlink the spring) our central air conditioner is working. The Media significantly provided cool air flow to our living room where we watch TV. The Media is set at its lowest setting (not auto) at 76 degrees, supplementing the central air also set at 76 degrees and the Media rarely uses more than 100 watts. Total variable cost so far $12.51, 47 days, 89.58 kwh. Maybe I'm being fooled by the wall outlet meter, but I don't think so. Our house is very well insulated and I'm not trying to cool the whole house with the Media - just allow the central air to be set a little higher and the Media gives a cool breeze in the living room as needed. The Media was easy to install, but the video was right - so more than look at the grill and it will be bent - maybe an additional grate needed? If I can find a DC hybrid version of the Media, I'm thinking of putting a hybrid DC solar unit (maybe limit it to solar) on every window where off-grid solar panels can be placed with sun near the window - operational costs would be zero when in solar mode. I'm not ready to try a mini-split with the tubing, but another Media that can use solar when available - absolutely - may even buy several as Christmas gifts for family members if mine works as well as I think.. Thoughts? Thanks for the video update. Dave

So I was told inside the cells it’s either of these unbalanced cells propt air inside the cells common one to be honest or burnt out wires terminals etc so if you are having trouble with them try these before buying a new one also if you do find unbalancing cells in the pack or damaged wires then you’ll need to fix it with solder to fix the wires if they break inside but for cells slightly unbalanced sometimes it can have air inside the cells someone on YT had this issue and used a tweezer to pick up screws with to release the air inside the cells so there should be a cap on them cells carefully see where the cap is on the cell and put the tweezer or tool on the cap press on it gently and you should hear some air being let out if your going to do this do it outside as your messing with lion batteries if that makes sense but after doing that to the cells slightly unbalanced you should see after letting the air out of them the voltage climb again and the pack show 1/2 lights put it back together put on charger and see how it goes no guarantees this will work but it’s a last resort for the battery hope this helps you guys :)
Good day to you. Have you been successful using the methods you mentioned?
@ to be honest I’ve reset them using wires but doing the pick trick releasing air is very dangerous as it can go wrong but I’m going off what I’ve seen and hear these tricks defo work it’s just a risk you’ll have to take unfortunately it’s just trapped air inside the cells but I’ve seen them go wrong on RUclips vids so I’m avoiding at moment doing this I’ve got a dewalt battery that needs this doing but it’s such a risk in doing it so I just left it but I do reset them using another battery for around 10/30 seconds and it seems alright doing so but messing with lion batteries is just like lighting a match with petrol lol 😂 so I avoid messing with them sort of batteries NIMH or NICD I do mostly

I agree that it is the best software I found as a security application in relation to quality and price, its price here in Spain is 33 euros per year in the premium version, perhaps the camera is a bit expensive, and in my case more so, since Alfred does not It ships to the Canary Islands, for which I had to use a special service that makes the product more expensive, but in the end it pays for itself by 33 euros per year
