What the hell? So there will be just 1 international terminal and 2 domestic terminal flanking on either sides? If you're trying to increase int'l traffic then why not club T4 for both domestic and international together? Or better yet use the whole airport to cater both needs similar to IGI T3 and CSIA T2? From the pictures the integrated intl'l terminal has only 4 jetways and probably extra 4 remote parking bays. I don't understand this logic at all.

Kick out this bloody Airport Authority of India (AAI) and privatize this airport, just like Delhi, Mumabi and Bangalore. As long as this airport is managed by these lazy government babus, it will continue to be worse than a railway station.

The only solution to get the Chennai airport in par with other newly developed airports like Banglore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, IGI,.....is to privatise it immediately. AAI is totally outdated to conceive, construct and operate modern airports. Please please privatise our Chennai airport, let's get back it's past ranking as the third busiest airport of India. They can add a new 12,000 feet parallel runway on the north side while closing the cross runway. In between those two parallel runways, there is room for building one more terminal, 3-4 large maintenance hangers for commercial airlines, room for parking navy, coast guard and air force planes and building a large cargo complex. Why is the AAI having this stranglehold over this airport whereas the rest are privately operated. The so called art work in the airport is tacky at best. The toilets are a disgrace.
