Beautiful!
Thank you! If you are local to Durham, please join us in person. We sing the service on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 7:00 PM. Starting in December, we will be at St Paul's Lutheran Church
I’m so glad to have found this - thank you for preserving it! Flash is gone, along with all the dancing hamsters. But I’m still defective, and the Miserable Ovoid still experiences testicular flamboyance and vulvar polytechnics, so life is good.
Thanks so much for keeping this video of Fiddleheads on your channel, especially because it happens in the Scout House. It's an enjoyable piece of contra dance history.
DAMN 🔥🔥🔥
Interesting to see myself - the kid in the wagon. I remember the day they filmed this in front of my house
Thanks for commenting. So glad that you got a chance to see it. Had you seen it after it was filmed or is this the first time? I saw part 1 of this at the American Printing House for the Blind Museum when I was in my first year of my Orientation & Mobility graduate program, and requested a copy from the museum to get to see this part. I later got permission from the museum to post both parts and posted them here 7 years ago.
@@jamitch3 Hi James. My name is Tom Kedzie and I'm 76. I grew up in Maywood where that was filmed. Being a Star, I saw the premiere at Hines with my Mother- got off school for the occasion. Funny thing - she taught me never to stare at the blind men when they went by - good upbringing. So for the movie, the director told me to stare! I probably looked for this movie online maybe 10-15 years ago without success. I looked it up the other day just on a whim and there it was. Thanks for resurrecting it. Actually, I watched the whole thing yesterday and beside some other scenes in my home town which I enjoyed, I found that it was really a very compelling story. Thanks again!
@@TomKedzie Thanks so much for commenting. It's wonderful to hear from you and to hear a little about your view of the making of the film. I stood there in the APH museum watching part 1, fascinated because it was describing the basic skills of O&M that we had just learned in class that semester. I am now an Orientation & Mobility specialist at Industries of the Blind in Greensboro, NC. I love this work, and I love learning about the early days of it as depicted here.
Lovely sound. Thanks for uploading and cheers to the performers🍻
The way he hold his cane looks so uncomfortable 😂
The band was fine but the vocalist doing those award gyrations as if she didn't have any poise at all, was sad. It was all an old little orphan Annie look in that red dress and red hair.
Haha, that is just because she is actually a pretty bad ass dancer and probably wants to be dancing as well. But it is pretty hard to dance in a floor length gown. ruclips.net/video/yCyjaEqxojw/видео.html
Classsic
beautiful :) glad YT recommended this to me
Apologies for the lack of video. I was trying a new set up, and I’m not sure why the video didn’t go out to RUclips.
Jadul beudddd
Beautiful!
Thanks for preserving this! Astonished Head is long gone - stolen and squatted upon by some random person in China (or Taiwan? Not sure) - and with the death of Flash, I wasn't sure it would survive anywhere. I don't even have the original SWF files anymore.
Glad I could. As I remember, I was able to find the swf files on archive.org and then figured out a way to convert them. It was such a brilliant piece of animation and parody!
Wait. You made this?! Then I need to thank you for the hours of happiness it has brought me. I shared it with everyone around me for years. I just shared this video, so people could see it again. I will never NOT laugh at this perfect parody.
I still have the t-shirt they made for this :-D
Are you serious? I made this! And the shirts. I've got one of my Proloxil coffee mugs as well.
@@MessyStudio2 I still have it, good sir!
A Lovely arrangement of this classic tune! A great ensemble and vocals!!
I love her sweet, simple praise
great !
Lovely
Nice!
Sorry! It was the only one I was able to shoot. At least David was in it.
It's in the notes. That particular one is The Orphan, and then they go into Lough Gowna. I was particularly happy with that dance/music pairing too.
