This guy is Raw he is deep Vulgar, and he gives you the spirit to push on if you understand him, remember he sang during the struggle to boost moral when war has taken a toll on you and you have to push on for Liberation. The song could be 2sided depending on your narrative.
Lancelot Mapfumo aichemedza ngoma vakomana. Ngoma kuita kukuma. Rest in peace legend. So loyal to his brother. Stayed by his brother's side all his life.
It was Mukanya's euphemism on bad governance and unfulfilled promises and not an attack on Land Reform in Zimbabwe. However, most of the things he sang about continue to haunt us as a nation. What a piece of art with well arranged instruments. I will forever miss Lancelot's booming congas. Mukanya wooyee
I think in my opinion Uncle Bob made terrible mistake to chaase away the whites guys(the investors) who owend big lands doing farming in Zimbabwe. But now look the situation of the country now😢
Terrible mistake was in replacing the racist whites with useless politicians in the farms. He should have replaced whites with ambitious black farmers. He shouldn't have used the land reform program as a means of gaining political support by the appeasement of his fellow cadres who had no real intention of improving the status of the country's GDP but only sought to own more land for themselves.
This guy is a true revolutionary using his art to fight against oppression in Zimbabwe. Sadly time is no longer on your side but thank you for your gr8 music we shall forever cherish these masterpieces!
This song does not leave my mind ,all the time I hear it ,it remind me of what really happened to me in 1990 in Lochinver in Harare ,we used to leave in that place called Lochinver, after we were promised to buy those houses ,in 1984,in September I and my small family were very happy to move to that place which I called my place ,but after leaving there for seven years ,and as a civil servant , really did not think that one day we would be kicked out of our houses by our own masters, but come 1990 Xmas time we were invited, coz they said railway driver's were going to stay there instead of us we were 32 families ,pulled out and be dumped at National sports centres on the open ground ,and we were not compensated or given our moneys back as we had signed our rents to buy for so many years 💔 😢 so when I see this video s on this song I sometimes cry 😢 coz of what happened to us that year 💔

Mugabe was a senile idiot. Mkanya's voice humming at the intro of this song awakens!
