      Install Retroarch, then download "genesis-plus-gx" emulator core. Then go to "core options", and you'll able select between MAME and Nuked YM2612/3438 FM-cores.

      Both overclock methods helped with gameplay speed, but it looks like the postrender overclock (method 1) had problems with projectiles exploding containers and on walls/ceilings, see the 1:30 mark. The vblank overclock (method 2) didn't have this issue.

    So how good is the emulation sounds compare to the actual thing I heard its starting to emulate these chips a whole lot better but does it stack up against the real stuff.

      Yes, you can set 266 or more scanlines to the Vblank or to the Posternder (depending what method game need). There are other emulators, which support overclocking: - puNES (github.com/punesemu/puNES/releases) - Mesen (www.mesen.ca/)

    Where did you got those famiclone chips? From what console? Is it possible to buy this "custom-made" Dendy from you? edit: oh i can buy necessary parts from ali. So you just replace chips, crystal oscillator and good to go? Or it requires some wirings to relocate chip's pins?

Translated version: forums.nesdev.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14861 I used original Famicom AV, just replaced chips and only you're need - is desolder NTSC 21MHz XTAL and replace it to 26.601712 PAL XTAL. You can try to find chips on aliexpress, but i got it from Moscow sellers in 2009~2010.

    Are you not planing to sell this console? I mean not yours but you can make a buch of PCB-s and buy the chips and all things and sell it like a new NES console.If the price is decent then it's better than those FPGA based clones.It would be great for everyone.
