Hi , first of all thanks for this video. It is very helpful but I am facing a problem in this project. I am getting very high heart beat readings like 263 , 253 etc. I am using MAX30100. please can you suggest something?
Try to cover the sensor along with your fingure by using black tape and dont press the sensor too hard or too gentle. Do let me know if you are still facing the issue.

Open the arduino library folder in c drive and delete the doubling of any library..further email me the board you are using and the board you have selected. You can also send me the code.

Sir i have followed the same procedure. As I have removed three resistors and i have used two 4.7k resistors for external connections. Even after all those efforts, it is showing "initializing pulse oximeter failed"

First of all connect 3 resistors instead of 2 and secondly send me the picture of your breadboard connections.

Why we must use resistor external sir?
These are the pullup resistor we need to connect pull up or pull down resitors to provide a known output. Suppose if you connect a switch to microcontroller and you pressed the switch when you pressed it 5v supplied to microcontroller but when you dont press a button microcontroller will be in unknown state weather ground is on that pin or 5v and difficult to take decission. By connecting these resistors we may solve this issue

Yes it will work but dont know what will be the accuracy.
i have a max30102 sensor and i tried it without any external resistor it still works at my fingertips, i think if given a resistor it will be able to read on the wrist.

I have tried the whole connection as per the video but still my LED is not turning on and when i run the serial monitor, it freezes at initializing pulse oximeter. Can you help me solve this issue????
Upload both the codes one by one..check the resistors connection again the value for resistors should be 4.7k

Can I use different value of resistor? Like 10k ohm
The suggested value is 4.7k by manufacturer so you can use a closest valie but 10k will reduce the current and cause some inconcestency in reading

it is only showing zeros when I keep my finger on top of sensor, but when I start to tap on it continuously then only it able to detect beat, showing beatrate proportional to tapping rate!!! what is the issue
Upload both the codes one by one and do let me know if it is still not working. Plus double check yhe connections of external resistors

Make sure the connections are proper double check it. I would suggest to do it again than upload a code open the serial monitor.
If it is not working than makesure your sensor is ok as this will burn if you overheat beacuse of cheep quality

Can you explain the difference between the first code and the second code? For module do we always have to remove resistor for every max30100 module? Thank you in advance.
The first code takes feedback after 1 beat thats makes this code special but senstive. The second code is calibrated through time which makes it work everytime. Yes we have to remove the resistors everytime or you need to bypass the voltage regulator of 1.8V. For perfect readings its better to remove all resistors.
