Yeah. Aside from a few instances I haven't really played myself these past five years, but there's plenty of people that EA are still milking. It had a small resurgence with covid. Also, there's a free shard (outlands) that's population easily dwarfs any EA shard.

This is a pure mage duel. It's just magery, eval int, magic resist and meditation. As group pvp goes, I use a few different templates.

That's how you do what's considered a "pure mage" duel. The purpose is to limit the fight to just mage spells. By limiting outside factors and things that are chance based, you can test and practice your skill at casting spells (or "spell play") and keep the duel strictly skill based.

It varies by situation. You'll need to learn that for yourself.

I dueled boadi not too long ago. I try not to upload dueling videos often though, because it makes some people not want to duel. People interpret it as shit talk, ego touting, etc, etc.

Not too sure who caligula is. If you tell me his alts, I might be able to tell you. As far as dueling Boadi went, he was definitely tough to kill, but I was rusty as fuck. Boadi is very good at timing disrupts which make him good offensively and defensively, and he's good at knowing when to cast bigger spells to get more dps in, but he's very amateur at cycling strategy. Strategy wise, he's maybe slightly better than the average top dueler, but his psychomotor skills far exceed the average top dueler. His style overall is based on casting a lot of small spells. He relies a LOT on magic arrows, harms, and weakens, and trying to limit what you can cast. I know that sounds like what everyone does, but he keeps his spells in the first two circles more than the average top dueler (at least when he fights me); unless i'm going defense in which case he may throw in fireballs and poisons. His style is particularly difficult to fight against, even for me (when I'm rusty that is), because his timing complements his style. When someone is exceptionally good at timing, and mainly only cast lower circle spells, it makes it hard to out-damage them because you can only really outdamage them by casting spells in the same circles, which lowers your dps and gives him more cushion space before he starts going defensive. When I duel actively, my timing and reaction is better than his, but when I'm rusty, he definitely outmatches me in that regard. Where I beat him is strategy, which is also difficult to implement when your timing is off and your ping isn't too good, but it was still enough to work him down and kill him. However, I imagine Boadi would probably be very close to my skill level if he had dueled me more. We've only dueled a handful of times over the years, and he has gotten to be as good as he is (probably one of the top 10 duelers of all time) by dueling people less challenging. He would definitely be a lot better if he dueled me more, because he could learn a lot from me- and he's a quick learner. One time he watched me duel someone and he learned one of my advanced cycles just by watching. Even the top duelers that I've dueled (Sedric, Reedan, Blackmage, etc.) I've had to duel maybe 50x before they'd learn that cycle from me, and that's dueling against me (not merely watching). Boadi was just watching and he picked it up. Granted, he wasn't even close to knowing how to use it properly, but he definitely grasped the concept right away. I was impressed.
