I won't use my Master 130,000 BTU torpedo anymore. The smell when it shuts off nauseates me. Was intrigued by this video. But still am not convinced it doesn't smell. I think the big selling point is it's quieter, no doubt.

I agree that the power bleeder works best. I own the same motive model and have used it on many vehicles. I don’t bother filling the bleeder tank with fluid. The air pressure alone does fine and it’s worth it to me to just make sure the master cylinder doesn’t run dry. Vacuum bleeders always suck in air somewhere in my experience so I don’t use them.

I'm a retired drywall business owner and have used above every heater there is I guess. The old Reddy heaters are the best and would last forever. Keep the plug changed or clean and they are gold. The newer heater's on the market have a computer board and are not as reliable. The radiant heater's are awful to fuel and the more you use them the harder they are to start. I have a 30 by 30 garage and this is what I did. I made a metal peace to sit in the bottom of a window and put the space heater outside on a covered platform. I used a normal thermostat mounted on the wall inside from the heater . I ran ducting from the heater to the window. All the sound is outside and the heater draws constant fresh air. I also use diesel fuel in it. .When it warms up I undo three screws and put the heater back in the garage in storage for the summer..55000 btu.

After running the Remington/Pro temp HH-70-SS and the Mr. heater 70K, you'd think I would know, but I'm still interested in hearing about other people's experiences with these heaters. My Remington quit after 8 years or so...the Mr. heater has a thermostat and I'm still trying to figure out the cooldown cycle with that(If you only have the rocker switch, that makes it easy)...I ran the Mr. Heater outside the garage the first time and it didn't shut off because it was trying to warm the outside to 42 deg., LOL Thanks for your post and your review

In this video, it sounds like your torpedo heater's fan bearings are probably shot, which makes it sound louder than it should. The underlying combustion sound seems to be about the same with the torpedo heater having a more throaty and pleasant sound.

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (Babvvo + Tebbvo law ) !!!!!!!!!

I run mine on diesel fuel instead of kerosene. It burns cleaner than kerosene ( I never liked the kerosene smell) no smoke or smell with diesel. Diesel puts out more BTUs than kerosene and it's alot cheaper too! My carbon monoxide detector has never gone off. I don't keep any door or windows open, everything is sealed tight. It only has to run about 15 - 20 minutes to heat the shop then it shuts down. I maintain the heat after that one shuts off, with an overhead 5000 watt electric heater that easily holds the heat at 65 - 70 degrees. So 5 gallons of diesel usually lasts all winter just to take the chill out of the shop before the electric takes over. Great combo that works great!

@@pauliebots I ran kerosene in my smaller one (50,000 BTU) and didn't like the smell, so I run my new one (80,000 BTU) on straight diesel and there's a little puff of smoke when it comes on cold, but burns clean after that. I do smell the diesel when it first fires up, which I don't mind, but no smell after that.

Strange I added a comment and it never showed up. I am slowly working on a 1986 930 project myself. Decided to split the case and do a full engine rebuild as I had no service history.on the car. It needed the valve guides replaced with it 68,000 miles on my car. Pretty common issue with hot running air cooled turbo 911 engines. Check your head studs, if their non-magnetic it means they are still stock Dilavar alloy,.and are prone to cracking due to age.....

I had to do the suspension pan on my 76. Found a donor car out in the California desert. Had the guy(Vince Delgado) cut it out and ship it to me here in Tennesse. Built a jig before cutting out mine so all the attach points were in the right places then tacked it in. Once it was tacked I removed the jig and test fitted the a-arms. It all came out perfectly.
