To the extent that the COVID crisis will generate new research questions, it raises the issue of what the most appropriate methodological tools are for engaging these questions. This panel explores the possible contributions of process tracing/case study, comparative historical analysis, ethnographic research, natural experiments, GIS, and network analysis.
