Great message Mr. Vickery! Philippians 2 is a wonderful chapter.

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3) Repentance does not come after salvation. Repentance, being born-again, and receiving the Holy Spirit all happen simultaneously, there is no time differentiation to these events. At that singular moment we are hid in Christ, we become at that moment the righteousness of God in Christ. By saying that we are saved and then must repent, you are in effect saying that repentance is a work, a requirement for the continuance of our salvation, and that those who are born-again, if they do not repent, will lose or have their salvation removed. And that is not true.

Good day Pastor Ken my name is Chad, my family and I live in good ole Grrrr. Proverbs 3:5-6 came to mind as you were speaking Pastor Ken. We are to deny oneself and take up our Cross, but so many times we lean on ourselves instead of Trusting God fully. We are all under construction and we must remember that without Christ as our "Foreman" we will make a big o mess. But like it says in John 16:33 even in the darkest days we have Victory in the Cross, not because of something we did but because of what Jesus Christ did at the Cross of Calvary.

This song is a great reminder that all we need we have in Christ!
