How to clear a cloudy or clay garden pond with montmorillonite clay
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.5 лет назад
Saw a video by 'The pond guru' on how to clear a cloudy or clay filled pond using montmorillonite clay. I thought i would test this theory out on my little pond to see if it would work. As you can see in this video i basically threw £20 into my pond!!!!!!! I have tried many ideas since then i.e. using filter media from air filters. In the end i just got the fish out, pumped all the water out an...

I think it makes the burn tube stay hot, which keeps the fire going higher, increasing efficiency.

I like it. I might put a cleanout on the chimney so that I can light a small fire to get the flue to draw while I'm lighting the stove.

Excellent video, I want to make something similar that’ll fit inside a prefab fireplace and use it for an emergency in case we lose power this coming winter. Loved the fact that it’s small enough that I may be able the get it to fit in fireplace. Can you tell me how hot the temp was at the gas bottle and how hot it was on the flue as you call it? Buy bottom line up front, excellent job, thx for sharing.

You needn't close the bottom draft. The draw is crucial to a properly functioning rocket stove. But then a rocket stove burning at peak efficiency will melt your steel riser like a fudge sundae on a hot plate. The top of the burn chamber should be between 1 1/2 and 2 inches from the bottom of your top plate ,again, pretty crucial. But for that you would need to make the burn chamber out of fire brick or fire cement. All in all nice build mate. Great video thanx for sharing.

You said the smaller clamp hand grips were backwards. I think you can undo the twist-screw holding the end piece in place and you can move it to the opposite end of the rail. This will put your grip in the correct direction. Enjoyed a full watch. Have a fine week. 👍🏽🙂. I do like the Irwin clamps.
