TOP 10 BLACK METAL EPs IN MY COLLECTION
Our guitarist just came across this review and showed it to us. We just wanna say thank you so much for this review - you completely understood it and what we were going for. With regards to digesting it more, wait 4 minutes and 20 seconds after Onward To Sarnath has finished and you will be treated to the conclusion of the story. Thank you once again for your very kind words it is greatly appreciated. Much love from across the pond.
What did you think of his latest?
Nice Collection mate. It was really funny how you struggle with all the german pronounciations :-D
After listening to your opinions I know that you won't give a shit about my opinion, but it also irritates me to see that everyone places "Absolute Elsewhere" by Blood Incantation in the first place of the best albums of the year 2024. That album and " The Last Will and Testament" by Opeth do not seem like incredible albums to me (said this by a person like me who is not a musician). I'm surprised that "Invincible Shield" by Judas Priest isn't on your list, I would have also added "Mean Streets" by Riot V to the list of the best of the year, but to each their own taste.
Very cool list Nick. I just discovered your channel. I'm all for Electric Wizard worship so I'll have to check out Demon & Eleven Children. That Departure Chandelier will bore into your brain. Are you a fan of King Buffalo and, if so, did you hear their new single Balrog?
Dude! I have done nothing but comb year-end lists and dig into rabbitholes to track down music since November for my year-end summary and still, you reminded me of three albums from bands that I had most of their albums, but somehow missed the new releases -- Bongzilla, Black Doldrums and The Third Sound. Thanks mate! I saw A Place to Bury Strangers at the tiny Schuba's bar in Chicago in 2007 and loved 'em, but sort of took their albums for granted, so I"ll revisit the latest. I was at that Slift show at Levitation! Are you in TX? Completely new to me is Daevar. I saw Windhand a few times in their early days, so of course I love it. There is a new Electric Wizard live album out too. Here is my list, focusing on stuff that seems to be your wheelhouse. You probably know most of them, but maybe I can return the favor and turn you on to something. Fester's Lucky 13 1. Vitskär Süden - Vessel 2. The Other Sun - Daimon, Devil, Dawn 3. Brume - Marten 4. Cemetery Skyline - Nordic Gothic 5. Oranssi Pazuzu - Muuntautuja 6. Ufomammut - Hidden 7. SoftSun - Daylight in the Dark 8. Spirit Mother - Trails 9. Karkara - All Is Dust 10. Terry Gross - Big Improvement 11. Aluk Todolo - Lux 12. Dool - The Shape of Fluidity 13. Oneida - Expensive Air
Great list. Just to correct you on the Kawir album, it pronounced Kethem'os. Greek is a pain in the ass.... Cheers!!
Cool picks, quite a few bands I’m not familiar with I need to check out , cheers 🤘🏻
My list 10 Spectral Wound - Songs of Blood and Mire 9 Spectral Voice - Sparagmos 8 Merrimack - Of Grace and Gravity 7 Konigreichssaal - Psalmen'O'Delirium 6 Akhlys - House of the Black Geminus 5 Thy Catafalque - XII: A Gyönyörű Álmok Ezután Jönnek 4 Mitochondrion - Vitriseptome 3 Schammasch - The Maldoror Chants: Old Ocean 2 Ulcerate - Cutting the Throat of God 1 Ingurgitating Oblivion - The Ontology of Nought
Boris absolutely rips. one of my fav bands of all time, Personal Fav is Feedbacker also fuck yeah dude finally I see someone appreciate Vomitself as much as i do!!! def one of their best tracks.
put your PEST (Swe) collection up if you have one. i want to see someone showing the Black Thorns 12"
True Widow got me through some depressive times. Windhand also! 😉
God is Good is by far my favourite Om record, I just wish it was longer!
I love Quest for fire, saw them with Naam back in 2010 I think.. Strange waves is one of the greatest songs ever made imo
Yes, good band. Have them all on CD from the demo Total Eclipse to the latest album White Noise and Black Metal! Can’t wait for the next album next year!
good shit broski🤘
I love seeing content like this, even if you don't get many views, for obscure but really good BM albums
Arghoslent is up there too lol
Great choices........EP's are my favorite, that Enslaved is my number 1 choice!!
Haha What a thriller! Remember the times, Me and the Guys (had no girls then LOoL:) was groovy as a wave on a thursday beach man. Coming back to it this year with the guys one more time really made us together as a group! Damnit it made me ride the wave of life Post-Covid-19
Great band!! You may want to check out this band too. A bit different but you may like. ruclips.net/video/3YiXvWkX5D4/видео.html
Windhand is super cool! Love em! If you like Windhand, you have to check this band out too....ruclips.net/video/To8lL83p414/видео.html
Been following them for quite some time....such a cool band! Their videos are trippy too!
Chris Canella is doing his best, but it’s not even close. They need another guy.
Thank you ✌🏻
Give Silent Future another listen, its a great album. I have been playing this on repeat for weeks now. Feels like a follow up of Solace in away. They were playing Hypersurreal the last time I saw them and fit right in with their other material.
WHAT FONT DID U USED ON THAT ELECTRIC WIZARD I LOVE IT
Perfect list. drudkh all albums is masterpieces.
Nice video dude 🔥 when it comes to emperor I pretty much agree with your take/rank with emperor I do tend to lean towards Anthems just a bit more but I have the same feeling with In the nightse and anthems . As for IX equilibrium damn thats a good record that is kind of underrated (maybe) . Anyways good stuff man
It's Welsh. 🙂
Deathcrush is okay honestly, if Deathcrush had one more song and that song being "Carnage" it would have been untouchable. At least in my opinion.
You have to realize that deathcrush was recorded and released in the 80s. And they were barely in high school by this time so i don't think they really had that much access to proper recording studios and what not
@jjjjh959 I agree with that, for me personally Carnage is my favorite Mayhem song and if Mayhem put the song Carnage either before or after Chainsaw Gutsfuck. Deathcrush would have been killer.
@@anthonyallen8962 i personally say not too bad for a bunch of teenagers lol
Great band!
It's pronounced oooooommm
booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Great 👍🏻
WIZARD FIIIIIGHT!
There is a CD of the promo. Deviant records i believe.
I learned of King Buffalo from my RUclips feed 2 years ago and it was Dead Star that I first listened to and was hooked! First impressions was Black Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix heavily influenced. Can't believe how much this trio delivers in their live performances. Band is killer! I even searched and waited on Reverb for a year until a Gold Hagstrom guitar came up for sale and instantly bought it. Thanks for your review of this spectacular band!
Absolutely! They're one of the best bands out there today, such a great sound!
Does varg play drums on all his music?
he used a drum computer.
All except for Belus I believe, I could be wrong though- I thought the drums on Fallen were programed but apparently they were real, who knows lol
I never payed attention to Deicide’s guitar solo’s because I’m usually getting banged up in the pit. 🤟🏻
I was very fortunate to be where I was, Deicide rules!
I agree the last album is my favorite I've been ping-ponging back and forth about which is my favorite song, started out as Polar Hiss then Anchoress in furs, then Ropes. But Kromlech Knell is still my favorite,it's the one that keeps giving me chills every time I hear it which is almost daily
Have you heard anything about the new album yet, I haven't I'm just trying to find out any information about him because there's not a lot out there
no not yet, seems like he's busy with live shows, hopefully something new soon though!
Hey dude, grow up and move outta your moms home
Technologically Endowed. That's a good one.
Just got this couple of weeks ago. Found flavours of the Floyd, echoes of Wishbone Ash and spoonfuls of Sabbath and Deep Purple, glazed with early 90s shoegaze. Very very listenable. A big hit with the over 60s, I can tell you.
Always good to get out in nature....
Is that out door boys video?
I fished that for trout several times! That section only once, more on the other side of the highway. We are blessed with many awesome spots here in Hunterdon.
A friend turned me on to KB a couple months ago and I immediately became a fan. Of all their albums, Regenerator is my favorite. Orion and Dead Star are on my list too. This is one of the few bands I like that my girlfriend enjoys as well (I think Burden of Restlessness is her favorite). I don't know how I managed to miss these guys for so long.
