I'm currently on my 11th hour shift and have a break. There's a lot of work today. But, here I am, looking at the guys and recharging with energy. I’ll work another 5 hours.✌️ Thank you guys😘😘😘😘
@@morbidmanmusic Who might you consider to equate to that level of John and Paul in the synth pop world. Probably more like Tears For Fears now that I think of it. Because as far as I know, Dave doesn’t write or produce. He just sings Martin’s lyrics.
@@morbidmanmusic Nah, that's pretty accurate. By the time of _Songs of Faith and Devotion,_ the surviving alternative bands, such as Erasure and OMD, were shocked at how they kept reinventing themselves with each album; and they all knew that Depeche Mode fans would keep letting them get away with it. None of them could keep up I mean, Depeche Mode's _Ghosts Again_ just hit #2 on the Billboard's US Adult Alternative Songs this last February (41 years after their first album). Like the Beatles, Depeche Mode is clearly across generations. And had the Beatles not broken up, they could have also gone on forever re-inventing themselves from album to album and charting.
@@pullthereins Dave does write. He has co-written for Depeche Mode since 2005's _Playing the Angel._ And he has a solo career. But Martin/Dave is hardly John/Paul. More in line with the Beatles, Depeche Mode is a pioneer band, it consistently re-invents from album to album, it spans generations, and it is documented to have inspired and influenced bands across Rock N' Roll. In the alternative bracket, they definitely stand out and are lone survivors for a reason (a new #2 song this last February). Had the Beatles not broken up, they too would have kept re-inventing and producing hits decades later.
senior depeche mode fans should stop their nostalgia blindness seriously they've had a new style since the change to alternative rock which was coincidentally the time wilder left
Lol... came onto this vid on shuffle just now, had near heart attack due to extremely-out-of-sync-with-the-rest-of-RUclips noise, promptly scrolled down the comments to find some affirmation of this atrocity, and found my own comment. Hello, me. Reminder to not listen to this vid on even half volume...ears be bleeding...see ya in three months.
What memories!!! I saw Some Great Reward tour in '85 @ Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in OC, CA... My first DM show @ 16... got ro meet them at Camel Records in Huntington Beach, CA just hours before were there was a mob og 2000+ people in the parking lot @ Newland Center strip mall on Beach Blvd. I was one of the lucky couple hundred that got in before th cops shut it down in fear of a mob situation...
