❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excerpt from Les Miserables by Victor Hugo: He was there alone, communing with himself, peaceful, adoring, comparing the serenity of his heart with the serenity of the ether, moved amid the darkness by the visible splendor of the constellations and the invisible splendor of God, opening his heart to the thoughts which fall from the Unknown. At such moments, while he offered his heart at the hour when nocturnal flowers offer their perfume, illuminated like a lamp amid the starry night, as he poured himself out in ecstasy in the midst of the universal radiance of creation, he could not have told himself, probably, what was passing in his spirit; he felt something take its flight from him, and something descend into him. Mysterious exchange of the abysses of the soul with the abysses of the universe! He thought of the grandeur and presence of God; of the future eternity, that strange mystery; of the eternity past, a mystery still more strange; of all the infinities, which pierced their way into all his senses, beneath his eyes; and, without seeking to comprehend the incomprehensible, he gazed upon it. He did not study God; he was dazzled by him. He considered those magnificent conjunctions of atoms, which communicate aspects to matter, reveal forces by verifying them, create individualities in unity, proportions in extent, the innumerable in the infinite, and, through light, produce beauty. These conjunctions are formed and dissolved incessantly; hence life and death.
It is like walking with my father jesus, thanks
Immersed in an unfamiliar yet familiar melody, my heart smiles while my eyes moisten, touched by its profound harmony. This music suggests a world language of love, a currency of respect, transcending human discord. It sparks a vision of a planetary symphony, where each human is a note in the grand composition of existence. I wonder: what if we all mirrored this universal love, this melody of respect, as seamlessly as this piece.
Горы должны быть. Эта музыка гор, холодных рек и бескрайних озёр
Yeah I was imaging that when I listened I thought so is more mother childhood mountains river the lot my childhood
❤
My soul rests while Ilistening
I was listening to this piece when I was a child and I was daydreaming when this piece was being played. I loved it a lot. But as a non-native speaker of English, I didn't know the meaning of the word "lullaby", and so I forgot the name of the piece... It has been years since I haven't listened to this piece, until today. Now I am 40 years old and I heard the music a couple of hours ago again when I was holding my baby in my hands... After all those years I learned the name of the piece. Lullaby... I instantly experienced an immense moment of awareness... This is my baby and I am the daddy of her, and we are listening to Lullaby together, just like I was listening to it when I was a child. I silently broke down in tears. My baby put her little hand on my cheek without knowing how I much love her. I was crying and she smiled at me. I love you, my little daughter.
How utterly beautiful!
@Jeanette Mccormack That's very kind of you, Jeanette. I hope this video stays here for years and one day my daughter reads your lovely reply on her own while we are listening to Lullaby again. Thanks a lot!
That was a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it.

I loved Khachaturian's music since i was 6. When I got to college, a friend who curated classical music for a New York radio station told me Khachaturian was second rate--a "minor composer" he said. I figured he knew more than I did and believed him, thinking my taste in music was inferior for most of my life. Until I reached age 65, when i decided that he was an arrogant snob who didn't know anything and that Khachaturian's music is sublime and a fundamental part of who I am. Amazing how you finally grow up and believe in yourself.
that snob guy must also have been an SOB too! :D one should never doubt one's own taste in music, whatever the kind of music that is! i have always loved some works of Mahler ... once someone who was into classic music told me, "but Mahler is simple!" ... so what ... who says complex music is the only of acceptable music, really!? i love complex music too ... to each their own ...
one of the reasons why aram was so underrated in the west is because he was a communist. His creations are exquisite.
That's exactly why I like to get lost in the narrow streets of classical music, rather than sticking only to the "best of" collections. I am really happy that you decided to go back to what you always liked and so we came across in this very narrow street.
Most rousing lullaby ever
Do not use landscapes that do not belong to Armenia !
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder The whole world is beautiful if you look at Creation and not at one particular area or culture
They can use whatever they want. It's their creation. You do one to suit you.
Спасибо. Хорошая запись. Почему-то сложно найти на ютубе достойного качества.

If you hear Khatachorian, then you go to another world that is like the perfection that is not described in this world
khatachorian? khacaturian
u wanna see the ‘another world’ ? just visit the birthplace of Khachaturian it’s called Armenia 🇦🇲
Thank you Pauliina
And thanks much for the visuals, which fit perfectly with the five minutes of sublime beauty.
The visuals are lovely.
So beautiful 💓
If I am not mistaken, the last few notes are left out.
As it is a dance in the Gayane Ballet it probably seques to the next part...and so fades before it starts.
Make me feel the roots where i belong to

sam terian living in the Soviet Union inspired him to write masterpieces like this one, a beautiful country results in beautiful people and performances
reminds me of my metzmama!
Mystery music...touches me somewhere deep in my soul or previous life....
Teşekkürler Haçaturyan. Bize böyle güzel, duygulu bir melodi bıraktığın için...
I am glad that the music of Khachaturian can allow a Turk & an Armenian to enjoy something together. Have a good day.
beni hep huzunlendiriyor ,, diger parcalarida ayni ,,, selamlar Nejat bey

This song is beautiful. I wish it could be playied at my funeral.
Michael Patrick I had the same thought just today while listening to it. I grew up with this music. I takes me back to my childhood.
Just pain
<3
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed.
yeah yeah
This is a lullaby I used to hear on an LP recording my mother repeatedly played in my childhood. So it sounds to me like music of the world, not of a part of the world I've never visited before. Khachaturian reached listeners far beyond his arena!
Danke Pauliina. Du hast Katchaturian verstanden :)
I've been moved by this piece since I first heard it, not knowing its title or its provenance within Khachaturian's oeuvre. It seems to carry such sadness for a lullaby. Is that just my western European/American ear hearing Armenian harmonic and melodic gestures that may have other or further meanings to native ears? Or is this how an Armenian of Khachaturian's generation might have gazed upon his or her sleeping child, after the depredations to his/her culture and country by the Turks then the Soviets?
The theme is from an old Armenian folk song.
It is hauntingly beautiful!
Sad? Not at all. Reflective, rapturous, mysterious...a communication of mystery and well being. Listen to the last few notes again.
Richard Salisbury I love how you see it...i am lebanese of armenian origin and the genocide is engraved in our hearts forever
I disagree. It is near pure melancholy to my ear. Moves me to the tears of loss every time. i could never tempt providence with parental notions summoning this piece. It's an eternal rest lullaby.
❤
this song and its CD I listen to driving.....its magic...this has memories for me.
so sad
Khachaturian was one of the most under-appreciated composers of the 20th Century (or any other time, for that matter). An Armenian who grew up in the Soviet Union, who believed in the Communist model of world order, but who, nevertheless, often differed with the Soviet hierarchy, much to his career detriment. His best-known work in this country will forever be "Sabre Dance" from "Gayaneh" ( a piece that has often been parodied and otherwise abused in one way or another in this country), but his contributions to the musical heritage of humanity can never be erased. This piece from "Gayaneh" is a prime example of his greatness. What a passionate "lullabye"
Thank you for the information. I really think that this is a very well example of mature music composing. Unfortunately with only 62 likes, it’s clear that your comment was underestimated by RUclips viewers just as well as the composer’s music was underestimated.
this is called real music............
keri caye vee
Keri :) Hi, once years ago, I was in the bathtub listening to (I think 93.1) the classical station, this piece came on, orchestrated very much like this... I loved it so much when they said the name and composer, I reached out and grabbed DolceGabbana shower gel ans wrote the name on the wall,. !!! I wanted to remember after my bath,. it inspired me (as an adult!) to take up Violin (I had never touched one before) I took classes at the local community college, I loved it so much, got to play in a group etc. then later I got a Cello and am adding that as a hobby too... LOVELY... This piece below, is much like Lullaby, by equally underappreciated composer: 'SMETANA' Called: 'The Moldau', it's It is about the bold drama and majestic beauty of the Moldau River in Russia, it's also the first piece we all learned on Violin in my group class ;) ruclips.net/video/l6kqu2mk-Kw/видео.html Also, Have you ever heard: "Colors Dance!" by George Winston, this solo piano piece, inspired me to start to learn Piano when I was very young, 11 or so,. I heard it and was utterly inspired, wanting to make such beautiful sounds myself: George Winston's 'Colors Dance!' ruclips.net/video/-fTaAOzPbig/видео.html
@@NextWorldVR a small correction. Smetana is a czech composer. The piece is called Vltava in its original czech. Vltava (the Moldau) is the river flowing through the capital of Czech Republic - Prague :) quite a way from Russia actually...
definetly
