Currently trying to finish the GOAT challenge myself. Started as a penty and thought why not go for the GOAT challenge. Problem is that Guardiola has dominated until his late 60s winning just about everything. I am currently in 2044 and have dominated with Madrid for 8 seasons and I still need another 3000 points on the Hall of Fame to notch above Pep. I reckon the difficulty of the challenge is massively based on Pep's performance in your own save as I've seen some where he retires early and others where he dominates like mine. I overtook Fergie ages ago.

Nah, even if it's delayed for 2 years, it'll have huge issues and essentially be an alpha and then a beta for the next 4 to 6 years. In that time they will introduce new bugs and never, ever fix them.

The delay of the game doesn't bother me. What I don't like is announcing the game with a date and taking pre orders and giving us a road map and then 11 days later tell us it's delayed till march doesn't sit well with me. Keep up the great work with the podcast guys.

The great thing for us about FM is it's never ending, we can play FM24 until FM26 if we need to.

They also generate huge amounts by selling your data, targeted advertising (read the EULA) and they monetize the database via various third parties in the football world, so we don't know how many hundreds of millions more they rake in. At the very least they lied about the state of the game, and they opened up preorders knowing they didn't have a product.

I know the problem with fm25 is that it made Tottenham Hotspur won every think and they cant release a unrealistic game but all jokes aside we all see this coming and when it is finally released it may still be buggy has hell but to save them self with fm26 being ok and fm27 will be the true game on the new engine showing the full power of it

JLA would be a top guest, and Jason Manford obvs but he might be out of reach, I've not seen him do much RUclips or twitch type stuff (bar that time he streamed FM). Out of the community it's been a while since I heard anything off big meatie (vikingdan) SLF or chesnoid. As for new faces I like cultured left foot, he needs a better set up but is a very interesting person IMO. Any update on the friends we've lost along the way would be most welcome also, such as foxinthebox or the aforementioned SLF.

I really relate to what Ben said about choosing not to immersive himself in the negativity around the game. I actually feel sorry for all the people on Reddit who are so all consumed with how much they hate SI that they don't seem to be able to enjoy the game any more. It isn't perfect, it'll never be perfect, and it isn't shilling for SI to say you don't mind the imperfections. When I was at the peak of my FM content consumption at the back end of the pandemic I actually found that quite off-putting about Ben's content, so I'm very happy to hear he's out of that and I'll check in with his stuff again.

Thanks for the save updates!! - I get Madd's decission on his wonderkid...but it's such a hard save. I haven't caught any of the streams, but man...what a massive challenge. - For Doop...I think you're right...You've done all you could. But I wouldn't say 1 years, I would say 2 years and then call it. Because it'll take at least 2 years to get all those good players to gel and play the way you want them to.

After listening, I wanted to follow-up on the CB role discussion. I'm with you (Doop) while I don't think there needs to be a change to the CB role, if you wanted to train a player with a more expansive role at the CB position....you shouldn't be stopped. Now given how the game interprets things sometimes, my fear is that it'll break the game. Secondly...I think Saliba is a good a shout for most expensive CB. He's also a set piece threat, while not as durable as some others, he's really the core of the Arsenal defense from my POV. Unlike the other CB's in the same squad (Arsenal) he's truly an elite defender amongst his peers. That's just my POV, I don't claim to know a lot about football...but you know, even the peanut gallery has to take a shot.😇 Also, I think Doop said Van Dijk is washed...man, that's a really harsh call on that. I truly believe he's at his most skillful now. Maybe not as physical as he used to be, but I think that the way he reads the game now is at his most effective. He's probably at his best since he joined Liverpool. Yes, he's no spring chicken, but he ain't bad just yet. You (Doop) struggled so much with Araujo (Ara-ooo-ho)!🤣😂🤣😂 Right there with you though 'cause for a second there I thought Madd was looking for Godin...even though I don't think he played/plays for Barcelona.
