People underestimate the value of being a good communicator not just in business but in life in general. As Kelly puts it " Being able to reach people more deeply. Through communication is how we do it" I'll definitely be picking up that book. After all, communication is a skillset that you can never learn too much about. Great interview!

The conversation transition is certainly a skill to develop. I swore she was about to say matching "vibrations" because everything falls into place when the vibes are right. When coming from a place of sincerity and genuineness in serving, that ability to help and give exactly what the other person needs, is effortless.

I have talked myself out of reciting my poems in front of a full room of people multiple times. To some people it's the simplest thing. To me it makes me feel like I'm about to go hiking with no water or substainable shoes. Of course I'm overthinking the situation but I have self sabotaged myself on multiple occasions. Over coming that is something I'm currently working on.

With over 20 years of practice. I just don't communicate. When I had to, I was definitely just disengaged, not involved. The best way to maintain the peace is to disconnect though. Block. No contact. It's the best

I have 100% talked myself out of applying to certain jobs because of how the description sounds and believing that I’m not qualified. I definitely self-sabotage in other ways too. I do think some of my thought processes that focus on the negative outcome though does have to do with my neurodivergence. Lots to think on!!

This is something I definitely have to practice at! I am much more myself today than I was 5 or 10 or 20 years ago. But I still struggle with it because it still feels unsafe!

As a Design student graduating in 2 years, there are a few topics that you mentioned that I think other design students could benefit from! - Ways to build Confidence in one’s ability to perform tasks -Techniques that help best imposter syndrome. I tend to feel like I’m bragging when I talk about what I am interested and what I am doing with my career. Also, how to feel like myself in a professional setting without feeling like I’m pretending to be someone else. Maybe this comes with time and experience working in a company? -a segment on books, movies, tv-shows, people. I’d love to read the books or various medias that helped you learn what you know. -Tech tips!!! This is much needed for Ux and Ui designers to understand the programmers world of brining designs to life. Giving people the opportunity to step lightly in someone else’s shoes in order to make better designs. -the system used on chrome for organizing tabs on the computer!! I’m definitely the type of person to have 100 tabs open, clicking through trying to find the one I want! -social media is a huge problem for all generations! I know I can kill hours on hours just watching stupid videos, going down rabbit holes and so on. How did you beat the social media addiction? Even though I don’t use Facebook, Instagram, or tiktok. I still fall short with RUclips! -going into more what principles are, design principles, but also universal principles mentioned! Universal principles is something I have been noticing myself since I do enjoy studying the Bible and other religious text. I’d love to hear what you have to say about how universal principles affect society/ the losing of the principles has affected society and how this affects us as human centric designers. -lastly, as a student I get told a million different ways from professors on how to present my portfolio, resume, and cover letter. However, it seems that the professors never agree on the proper way to present the items. I’ve gotten told to not use your name, if they care to know more about you they will go to your website and other professors saying that’s nuts!! Put your name! So, it would be nice to hear from you! Someone still working in the field, on how you present your information for an interview! Looking forward to more videos!!

Underdogs, people that never thought they could be more because they were told they couldn’t be more, focused on people in the tech industry because you speak their language and you can figure their shit out and help them through it. We should jump on the phone or zoom and have a session about this, I bet you would come up with a well defined niche just by talking through it
