What about for Bedroom Settings ? Can't have it blasting there.
Then you put a tele through it and start all over
Wish I had one to demonstrate! Definitely an essential guitar to have in your arsenal!
Ok cool.. this is the second video I've watched that explained this concept the same way... I've been doing this and seems to be working out great
Awesome to hear it’s working for you! Glad this video was helpful! 🙏🏻
Phenomenon video as always ❤
Thank you my friend!! I’m glad you enjoyed it, hope you got something out of it! 😇🙏🏻
Sounds fantastic
Thanks so much! 🙏🏻
What brand are the earplugs?
They’re a custom mould that you can have done and purchase at any audiologist! Not sure the brand, but any good audiologist in your area should be able to mould your ears and get them for you! :)
Hell of a player and wicked tones🤘🏼
very nice video
Thank you!! 🙏🏻
fantastic info delivered well. Keep it up!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
Nice video. A little more amp gain than I prefer, but I like your method and describing what your going for with each pedal.
Thanks so much! Totally understand, where you set the amp for pedals is very much a personal thing. What works for me may not be best for you, but I’m glad you got something out of it! 🙏🏻
I got a Brother labelmaker and it's been a huge help for doing the power supply- especially to help remind me what can run at 18v etc.
Cheers on having me on your channel pal :)
I'll be building a board soon and this video was definitely helpful. Cheers.
I really appreciate hearing this even outside of a performing context
So true man. Thanks for talking about this.
Great vid man
Hey John! Thank you so much for your video. I kinda knew it, what finding the sweetspot means, but having it confirmed by you, also adding some extra infos, really inspires me to check again with my amp, once I'm in my rehearsal room again. I just bought myself a brandnew orange rockerverb 100 MKIII as my first tube amp, after I used a sunn beta lead for approx 10 years. Sadly the trusty amp (built in 1974) died this january, so i was forced to get myself a new amp, as I just founded my new band. I was sure that I understand enough about this, so I just dial in something i think may be okay, but as I got more and more into this matter, i realized that its not as easy as someone may think. The first weeks I was WAAAY to loud (but it felt great, hehe) Especially when using pedals. It took me good 7-8 months to fully understand my amp and know how to really use it, espeially in an somewhat big rehearsal room with an bassist w/ his 500W bas-amp (laney digbeth). My current set-up is kinda like yours. - but I'm unsing a voume pedal. I have the crunch-channel active, and when the ernieball MVP volume pedal is set to heel position, I have a lovely tight crunch. But when I push the mvp into the toe position (which has dial-able 20DB boost) it justs get fat and loud in the desired ammount. It took me very long to figure all out. even with the MVP pedal boosted (toe position) i have a walrus audio ages running, but on this I just add some little volume on top, gain is bettween 0-2 (MAX) - I'm just using the EQ-Cuve of the Ages to somehow spice up my signal, but not adding alotta gain/vol. anyways, thanks - I love your vids & subbed Take care and best regards
Sounds like an awesome setup! So glad that you found value from this video. Thank you so much for the sub! 🙏🏻

These guys, let me tell ya… they wanna win.

🔥👍 Happy B-day . Always 👀 Uncle -G-
Love the video! Can you comment on how to get an amp to be in that “sweet spot” at lower volumes without an attenuator? I have a DRRI that even at rehearsal volume …it’s not there yet. Thanks man, and happy birthday!
Tough with non-master volume amps for sure. In my experience, a deluxe reverb starts to open up at about 6, which is too loud for most people at home. You could probably get away with it at a gig though!
Happy freakin birthday my man
Great video John! Loved all the parts you played. They really lifted the songs.
Thanks buddy!!
This is awesome! Sounds like a great time.🔥
Thanks so much!!
🤘🤘
🤘😎
Great video man! You should do video lessons for beginners!
Should I worry about dinging my guitar up in a soft case
Not too much, as long as you're not tossing it around! There are lots of gig bag options that are heavier duty like the one in the video that will actually protect just as much as a hard case!
great video! loved the tones and your editing keep it up :)
Thanks very much!!
awesome vid !
But does the small tube go to 11
12 believe it or not!
Good info, you should do more of these. Uncle Cuddy
Nice demo
Great video John!. I’m assuming you’ve left the controls for each pedal the same for each guitar? I’ve alway found that tough, to balance without tweaking every time you change guitars. Keep the videos coming!!
Hey Jay! Yes, I left the settings the same as you saw them for each guitar! Thanks for watching :)
This is a great insight into pedal stacking man. Well done. High voltage 🤟
you can gain my stage any day ;)
🤘🤘
Yes john! Keep making videos you rockstar!
Alright.. I’m starting an overdrive collection
you look like a rockstar
