A Brief History of Axis Forestry
Просмотров 401Год назад
Axis Forestry was started by Wayne Cochran with the money he made from selling his prized mountain bike. It all started in his garage, building parts with his two kids, and has grown into the company it is today. We wanted to share the story of how it was founded, because we know a lot of loggers out there are starting their own business or are dealing with the challenges of building a company.

Sean Belshaw Memorial

On September 2nd, we tragically lost one of our dear team members here at Axis. Sean Belshaw was our CNC machinist, and was responsible for machining the parts we use to manufacture and repair processor heads. We wanted to share a video of Sean at work to show you what he did for the company - this was the last part he ever machined. Sean was an essential member of the team, and he was a friend...

lol nothing more annoying than listening to women try and sound and act like men. This modern era sucks so bad.
When are you guys going to get a dealer who will carry and support your heads in Wisconsin/Minnesota?
@curt6488 Hello! McCoy Construction & Forestry carries and supports our Rebel Heads. Your question is excellent timing as McCoy is setting up a Rebel today in MN, in fact! Give them a call at +1 218-326-9427. Thanks for taking look!
Well how do we get ahold of this company?
Great engineering. Great company. Great video. Best processing head & computer system out there 💯. Congrats!
Looks awesome Wayne! Can’t wait to get ours in the woods!
I'm impressed with the videos I've watched and would like the opportunity to run this head. Employer has 2 waratah which I run one. Demoing a south star right now and I m not impressed . I think you're head is the wave of the future for processing
Thank you for the kind words. We can help arrange a demo absolutely! Please contact us to chat further.
@@AxisForestryInc Employer is intrigued Will look into possibly setting something up
Fantastic looking head team I run a 623waratah in nz have you got dealer in nz and also backup?
@@markfarrell8721 Thanks for the feedback. We don't have a dealer in NZ... yet!! Let your local dealer know you want a Rebel and they can reach out to us for sure.
1minute of untouched footage is worth more than 20 min of chopped promo vid
@gordo1840. Hi! We have longer untouched videos on our RUclips page. Here is a link to one 20 minutes long: ruclips.net/video/KS2kH5eywyY/видео.html Thanks for taking a look!

Great to see the ladies come out to the woods and show the men they can do the job too. As long as they learn the skills, operate safe, and they are reliable and efficient, who cares what sex they are.
😂nice!
Awesome videos!

This is going to be one sick head. Really exited to see it in action.
I wish i could just go test it out, looks awesome guys and gals👍
Thanks! If you're ever in Idaho, Arkansas or Kamloops, Canada then drop us a message and we'll see what we can do
@AxisForestryInc hey thats appreciated Axis. Might be sooner then you think washington state is becoming a joke
It is nice to see that you are using the KESLA harvester head for wood processing. I am selling the KESLA harvester heads in my country, Indonesia
That's great. We are the Western Canadian dealers for Kesla heads, they are fantastic for small wood and micro-harvesting
Lol "running older equipment" that stuff they're running looks brand new 😂
How big a tree can it handle?
Can handle up to 31", can do 28" comfortably all day long.
@AxisForestryInc nice job Axis, keep up the good work. Maybe one day get to try it out
What a machine!!!
Glad you like it!
Looks good
Thanks!
People have been going to Sweden and observing their forestry practices for a very long time, I feel that former b.c. Philosophy based on mega harvesting and greed, didn’t mesh at the time, good luck with your micro company, certainly handy being able to move on the gooseneck trailer
I WONDER ARE YOU UNIONISED IN THE IN THE I W A
So I was wondering who the land owner is. I see hundreds of cuts in the pictures of the mountains. In Kentucky the land owner hires a logging company to harvest the timber. The owner gets 40% and the logger gets 60%. Who owns all the land?
Some forestry land in British Columbia is privately owned and leased out to forestry companies and mills, in other cases the land is leased out by the provincial government on a tenure basis to forestry companies with certain regulations. In that case, the forestry companies pay a stumpage fee for the wood they harvest
That's how we do privet land jobs in idaho as well
I worked on the old blue yarder yrs ago in the north Thompson. It worked alright.
im surprised i haven't seen your guy's outfit before, especially if you do a lot of cutting for tolko. Because they are one of the bigger mills in the Okanagan other than Gorman brothers who have got downie timber doing their cut blocks.
Great Video!
I'm pretty sure thats a 622B, one of the best heads i have ran for waratah. Good video, be safe out there👍
Awesome system! We love ours...thanks for the spectacular customer service!
Absolutely amazing!
Sweet simple system 😎🪵
Well done Wayne. Looking forward to installing this on one of your customers heads and my own 722.
Thank you 🙏🏻 This will be very handy to reflect upon this summer-
That looks awesome I’ll be ordering one with my next order. You guys should make some bigger ones too
