Jimmy White's incredible kick shot at the Mosconi Cup
Просмотров 20 тыс.12 часов назад
Jimmy pulls off a memorable kick shot in the 1995 Mosconi Cup. Jimmy's partner in this legendary match was Alex Higgins and what makes the shot all the more special is that Jimmy looked completely off his face at the time.
Mark Williams misses ball completely when attempting an easy pot.

Mark Williams with a dreadful miss as he attempts to come back from a 7-1 deficit against 2018 champion Judd Trump. It's a very easy pot plain ball but Mark would likely have been losing the white so dug in with a lot of side making the pot harder than it would have been.

Jimmy White making a 147 break look easy
Просмотров 4,2 тыс.2 года назад
A 147 break is the holy grail for any snooker player but for 99.9% of amateur players around the world it's an impossible dream. However, for the top pro's it's second nature and they knock in countless maximums in practice. This 2016 video is of Jimmy White making a 147 look so simple. Let's face it, how many players have knocked in a maximum while wearing joggers and a cap. :)
40 Years of Snooker at the Crucible
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.2 года назад
Steve Davis goes back to the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield to celebrate 40 years of the Snooker World Championships. If the walls of this famous regional theatre could talk they would tell tales of tears, triumphs, laughter and top-class sport. This documentary covers the years from 1997 until 2017. Hopefully the next 40 are as exciting as the first 40.
Jimmy White at his sensational best
Просмотров 505 тыс.2 года назад
Jimmy is unlucky not to be on the black after potting the red so he's left with the easy safety which is the percentage shot or he can do as only the very best can and that's go cushion first and pot the black. This is Jimmy at his finest and rolling back the years.

Is that Machaela Tabb?
Pockets must look like buckets to a real cueman
You should never meet your heroes. I was at trentam garden when he came back after his ban, played Adrian Rosa and lost 5nil. Everyone was surrounding him when he arrived and he behaved appallingly. Saw him later in the players lounge all alone cos everyone was avoiding him. He had everything and just threw it away.
The legend Higgins was in fact a handsome man and so sed to see what cancer and malnutrition done to him but he was certainly handsome
I saw Jimmy at my local garden centre the other day, he was looking at a plant!!!
When I lived in Torquay I found out ray reardon Lived there and he liked curry I won't disclose his favourite curry house , as far as I know he still goes there. .
He died a few weeks back so sadly he's not gonna be eating there any more. Hopefully has last curry was a good 'un.
Alex hurricane Higgins came to England to be a jockey he worked for eddy reavey a racehorse trainer who liked a drink .
One shot later, for the only time in Marconi Cup history, a koala bear savaged Alex Higgins. Shame we missed it.
That blue is the greatest shot of all time.
I played Alex on May 21 1979 in Lee on solent 1972. At the break he threw the food at the wall. 🤔 He played aaamazing. ♥️♥️
Which one was it 1972 or 79 🤔
Always loved Waching jimmy legend of the game the king of crucible without the crown
Higgins and white some duo!!
The commentator just couldn't shut up for a second could he whilst we heard what Jimmy was saying. 😒
You couldn't make this 7 seconds longer to see him finishing the frame
My god absolutely agreed
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Exactly
It's not that tough a shot for someone aa good at snooker as Jimmy W
Pockets like buckets , as the commentator said after snooker it’s easy .
It's easy until you play it. And as for the pockets being like buckets? Yeah that's true I guess that's all the more reason you have to keep control of the cue ball.
@TONYCOV881 I have played it - very well , I will accept your point of having to keep the cue ball under tighter control possibly than with a bigger table . Quite a few pro snooker players go on the American pool circuit but very few the other way . 🤔
@@muckle8 Glad you play it well, I am getting better at too. But why do Pool players have to prove themselves at Snooker? 9-Ball is it's own game, there's no safety play in it and if there is you have to work hard to get it. The pockets are big sure but so are the balls and it has its own obstacles. It's best just to be good at one thing than trying to be a jack of all trades.
@TONYCOV881 never a bad thing to be the best! - whatever it is! - peace. ✌️
@@muckle8 Very true mate.
Congratulations on a very enjoyable trip down memory lane pity though that you and everyone watching missed out on seeing Dennis pot the final black!
There all boring now give me Alex n Jimmy all day
It looks like buddies playing in a pub, far from a snooker tournament.
One in a million shot
Still got my jimmy white snooker. Real shame that he didn’t manage to land a world championship.
Had the pleasure to play Jimmy in a exhibition match back in the 90s was a great night.
I was given the opportunity to play him about 8 year ago...I was like a kid at Christmas the day we played. All I can say is it was a good to finally meet him and that's where it ended. The guy turned up, greeted everyone, photos and a bit of a chat. When it came down to our frames(8 of us in total..1 frame each) he complained about the table then the balls...we swapped the balls. Then his gout was giving him grief. Interval came round he looked like he just wanted to leave. Spectators paid £25 to get in, got no stories, no anecdotes, no interaction which caused some of the locals to start playing on the fruit machines. The night was completely ruined for me as I was at the bar and offered to buy or make him a drink...all I got was " nah it's too late for that and walked away". I've never felt so let down in my life...this the guy who was a hero of mine as a kid. What a disappointment. Never meet your heroes kids.
You’re both liars.
There is no such thing as an easy pot.... yes, if you just look at making a pot, there is something like an easy pot. But a snooker player is looking 3, 4 or even 5 shots ahead. So it mich look easy, but it never is.
It was ‘go on wiggy’ that fired him up.
Was funny lol
Were you on Fruitchat?? Back in the day 😮

Everything about Jimmy screams cocaine lmfao
I think the thumbnail gives it away. :D
Kick
Yip thanks, had a senior moment there. :D
Jimmy is a legend
I wish he would go on Cue Tips, it'd be great to hear some of his stories and see what Stephen makes of them.
I think he's a little resentful after all the losses to Hendry. I mean, it would be hard not to be.
@@littlelucysamoyed it would be great to see him on cue tips but he declined a few times apparently. Maybe he still has a gripe about losing to Stephen so many times
@@MrAndydavis78 maybe so Andy, maybe so 😉
