Vario 8 blade Fenestron installation in a Roban H130.
After a Vario owner stated he ran his at 8600 rpm and with a projected rpm of around 9000, I lowered the tail ratio to 8.25 from 9.3 to stay on the safe side and increase if tail authority is insufficient. It's very easy to change. Motor ratio is 13.7 with Egodrift 4030HT-400. It translates to 1100 rpm head speed at 80% governor speed on the iKon2. As usual I use the external governor option from MSH. It enables to change head speed from the transmitter using integration and telemetry. The 3 programmed head speeds are now set at 1075, 1100 and 1125. The Tribunus II 80A esc reports perfect telemetry with MSH FCU, FBUS connection, TDR6 and X20. I also installed a 25kg servo and so far it ha...

Using MSH external governor and telemetry for setting scale head speed at 80% power.
Просмотров 24814 дней назад
On the previous clip, I had only 56% power reported by telemetry from a HW200 V4 hooked to iKon2 running MSH fw .189 beta version and a 4035HT-470kV motor (with a ratio of 13.7) and 1150 head speed. If using a YGE esc or a Tribunus II, the value becomes a more accurate 67%. The goal is to achieve 1100-1150 rpm head speed at 80% external governor setting using similar head ratio as Roban's 13.8 ...

Cold morning at 4C and sorry for the sneezing lol. Otherwise perfect for a maiden with nice sunshine and calm wind. It' was a bit too quick on the controls for comfort and I brought a few changes. iKon2's integration is awesome to adjust FCU parameters during flight. 7:30 minutes with 3.80V per cell at landing on 4200 packs at 1150 rpm and 7.2kg. That will be a great flyer once adjusted.

oh so 10years ago this was your single stick controller already
Yes but my first one was 40 years ago.
Does the Funkey fuselage come with the magnets, or did you add them yourself? Thanks for the video.
TY no it does not. The magnets are to align and hold the canopy in place while I use 3 mm screws to secure it. I don't trust magnets for flight as others do. If during flight there is an unbalance the canopy will fly off no matter how strong the magnets are. It happened to me...😀
SAB Comet, 18T motor pulley, Egodrift 4030HT-400kV, HW 130, head speed 1220 governed by iKon2, Fenestron rpm 9500, 8.85 kg for 9+ minutes on 5000k packs.
Thank for let show the video. Great!
Where did you get the sound and device?
cheater cheater pumpkin eater!! nice vid though!! you slowed it down to just about the right speed!!
What size blades you have when flying 5blades? I guess 700mm will be too much ?
On the Fun-key which is on the small size, I use 640 blades and I flew it also with 680mm. Yes I think 700 is a bit of overkill.
@@romeooscar8495 im building a new trex 700 with funkey fuselage.. but i think using 5x 700mm will overrotate the heli out of control. At least what happened when i testet my 800size with 4x 790 blades.. even had huge 3blade tail rotor but had no tail authority at all
I agree and like the 640 on mine. Of all the models I built, it's the one I prefer to fly. ruclips.net/video/ZSrWtnAuUh4/видео.htmlsi=0O_bPkGp0AYECJpW @@robertlunatic
@@romeooscar8495 Don`t mind. I fly 6-blades 600mm on an 600size MD500.
@@robertlunatic You need to set up the Flight Controller according to the rotor. I am with 6 blades 600mm on an 600size model. Don`t try to use a typical 2blade 3D setup.
Hello, a simple question about the TDMX... How many channels does it deliver via SBUS OUT at most...? 16 channels or 24 channels? Thanks you very much for your answer.
I always used the TD hooked up via the s.port connector configured as FBUS with MSH FCU. I suspect 24 channels but not sure since I never used a SBUS connection.
good scale speed. Good scale flying

how make bubble glass?
Where can I buy such a ready-made and customized mechanism? I have the same MD-500 E 700 fuselage.
Hi, there are no ready made mechanics, all of them have to be customized a bit to fit. The most popular is Align 600 or 700 size. But I dont like the way they fit in the dog house so I used an RJX Vector and I'm quite happy with the results. :)
@@romeooscar8495 Tell me please. You can sell your custumized mechanics with a remote control? And if there is instructions, then I will be very pleased.) This can be discussed? Thanks.
Hello! I have just purchased a TDMX receiver that I’d like to bind to a Microbeast Plus FBL unit. Besides the GND and VIN cables, which one carries the signal to the FBL unit, the S.Port or the SBUS one? Can’t really see so close in your video, but it looks like it’s the third one from the top, matching to the S.PORT one?
3rd one from the top is for MSH FCU: GND, VIN, S.Port configured as F.Port or FBUS on the RF page of the tx. Not sure what connection BeastX uses (check instructions for single wire connection to FrSky), I suspect SBUS. Then you would have to use GND, VIN (+) and SBUS out tabs. :)
@@romeooscar8495 it’s exactly what I used and so far so good. I’m now attempting to program the MB FBL
Goblin mecxhanics have a nice sound. Seems to be less of a high pitched squeal like you get with TREX mechanics imo.
I agree yes. I still fly builds that have Align mechs and I notice it right away. And SAB is so reliable, belts last forever.
My BLS5405 servos seem to have a wide deadband. and they have servo flutter or jitter. Servo doesn't react to small movements.
Got that thanks.
How do you like the ethos with helis?
très beau!

Which mechanics/electronics is in it? Also curious of the 5:1 tail ratio.
SAB Goblin 700 1st gen with tail boom shortened by 30mm. This was my only "slide in" construction using SAB, thanks to the ample room provided by the Thunder Tiger Power fuselage. It's my oldest flying build and has proven super reliable. Still has the original HDT3 (6mm width) 2004 cogs belt. The stock 700 uses a 2064 belt.
do you have a video how to setup the Ikon2 with the X20?

Hi, thanks a lot for your video. I am considering buying the X20: do hou have any evidence of X20 range in 2.4 GHz only (before telemetry is lost and before a signal alert)? I am also planning to buy TD receivers: are you aware of possible interference between the two frequencies or other issues? Thanks a lot
Hi Giovaqni, I was never concerned with range flying rc helicopter but something I will look into as soon as start flying the TDMX which is soon. I just completed a 600 size Bell 429 using it. I'm not aware of any issues thanks.
@@romeooscar8495 Thanks a lot! Very good
@@romeooscar8495 Hi, I found a serious a problem with the Tandem receiver TD R10 (2.4 Ghz+900 Mhz): the servos start to jitter / chatter strongly when I install the receiver in the fuselage (analog servos, Hitech and Emax). The issue disappears when I turn off the telemetry or wrap the 900 Mhz antenna with aluminum foil, so the issue should be the 900 Mhz telemetry. Unfortunately it is not possible to turn it off separately from the 2.4 Ghz telemetry! Does anyone know if the normal 2.4Ghz receivers have the same jitter issue?
@@giovannivitali9536 I strongly recommend your update ALL 3 firmware: ETHOS 1.2.6, the latest TDMX, and the transmitter internal module. I just flew my latest build, a Roban 429 600 with TDMX and mini servos. Works as a charm. 🙂

Wonderful video Romeo! For goodness sake... you are getting me hooked on your FrSky X20 Transmitter... I think I'm in Love! lol
You would have to switch to a BeastX Larry to take full advantage of FrSky's telemetry. But I have you covered and can get you a Beastx plus with auto level you would hook up to an Archer receiver. ETHOS is very user friendly and FrSky working on the lua interpreter for integration very soon. :)
