So what’s the white smoke problem ?
The valve seal is main cause of problem, but I'm also change the piston ring

Make sure the timing mark position are exactlay in the mark, and also check the knock sensor .If the engine is bad performance it will be cause also a knocking sound.
Whats the most common problem with the 6g74 pajero engine. Mine has a knocking noise in park but when in drive the noise goes away could it be a bearing. Timing belt and tensioner and pulleys and water pump are new put on after discovering the tensioner was bad.
