Need to add the word "PUMP" to your vid title.
I had the power steering pully slip off if im ubderstanding this correctly i can just loosen the one bolt and the pump should swing? I think mines stuck. I just need to get the belt back on. Worked. Your a lifesaver dude. I was having alot of trouble finding information and it was fixable with one bolt.
Good video.
Great job fellas 🏆
Empire needs to take a couple of steps in the infield turn around look at the play at first base in case he asked to make a call at second if the runner proceeds to second birthday based on fire can I just stand there and make a call not a good video
How did you remove the pulley
Can you show me where the vacuum lines run. Mine were off when I purchased the truck and can't find where the line go
Isn't any ball that bounces foul first, always a foul ?
Thanks for the video. In fact i couldn't see the part I was waiting for, that is the moment u reinstall the ps. In fact I've removed heads to correct warping, had a heart attack and there go 3 years I don't remember the position of brackets to link the pump again. Mine is 1995 2nd gen atm 3.0 3vze.
A ball in foul territory goes over the base must land in fair territory. It cannot go down foul, go over the base & land foul n still be fair.
This guy makes great great videos!
I was the base umpire for a Little League majors-level game and the batter hit a home run. I was impressed with it and watched the ball, but then the defensive coach wanted to appeal saying the runner did not touch the bag. I felt stupid that I did not pay attention to the runner and I could not make a call. I got my ass chewed by my co-umpire about it. Now I know to keep my eyes on the player, regardless of how spectacular the home run is. I’m not a spectator, I am an officiator!
When disengaging the rubber must the pivot foot find ground first or is clearing the rubber by the pivot foot but still in the air considered disengaging. Which one defines a defensive player?
unlikely scenario, but what if the ball is rolling on the ground, spinning heavily in foul territory, and rolls back into fair territory once it passes 1B or 3B - and settles in fair territory?
This video is insanely helpful as an umpire. I always had an idea of what they were but I never knew the specifics until I finally found this one.
Is it obstruction when there is a play at first, the first baseman has proper foot placement but leans their body over first base so the runner cannot run through but is not moving into the runner's path because of the ball taking them that way?
This is a dumb rule. If you touch the next base or leave home base area without touching it should be automatically an out. and tell your camera man if you're using the camera mic the cameraman doesn't talk. ever. Of course the correct answer is to get everyone who is supposed to talk their own lavalier microphone. they aren't expensive anymore.
great video but would have liked to see how you drained all the fluid...
This video is excellent. The game should be played according to the rules. However, the batter's box is totally lined incorrectly. The midpoint of the 6 ft side of the box should line up with the middle corner of the plate. You would be surprised at how many baseball (and softball) batter's boxes are lined incorrectly.
Cannot the the pulley off for the life of me. All other bolts and stuff came off fine but the pulley itself is stuck… and I can’t fully remove the long 14mm because it’s in the way.
Same here. Did you come up with a solution?
You need to slowly hit the pulley with a hammer or a metal tool from the inside, hitting outwards (towards you), and it will slowly come off. Hope this helps
Thanks! I tried it for quite a while, but no luck. A neighbor said he has a puller I can borrow. If that doesn’t work, I’ll be forced to resort to dynamite.
I used a pry bar on my 94 3vze yesterday and it came off after hitting the pry bar a couple times with a hammer. i soaked it in penetrating oil and kind of rocked it back and forth off the shaft
So what if there is a balk called, the pitch is made and the batter pops or grounds out. Does the play out get nullified and the runners advance one base from their position at the time of the pitch and the at bat continue from the pre balk count with the same batter? Or does the play stand and put outs are recorded as they happened?
The proper use of the eyes is called timing. Eye drops are called instants in time. Marking the passage of time is called looking. Catching the ball is called interior decorating. The strike zone is called cutting an egg roll in half.
What if it goes over the fence and then is called foul? My son had 3 bats in a row where he hit it over the fence and was called foul because the wind blew it past the left field marker after it went over the fence.
I take it your speaking of the homerun fence. If it crosses or goes over the fence in fair territory, it is indeed a homerun!! What the ball does after it goes over in fair territory is mute. This is the purpose of the Yellow poles that have the extra wide yellow fencing in the majors. Helps the umps see if the ball curved before or after. So yea , by your description, those were homeruns.
“One sore puppy”
Umpires need to throw a flag when calling a balk
One thing is messy from the video is the fact that the ball does not have to be on the ground to be touched to be considered a foul ball. They could bounce fair first and then be touched by the Fielder OVER foul territory. A lot of people think that if the ball bounces in fair territory and then is touched by a fielder over foul territory. It’s still a fair ball however it is not.. The ball does not have to be on the ground. It’s where the ball is when it is touched.
one big point of confusion you missed. if a chop hit strike fair territory bounces foul but is caught in the air before touching the ground.
If the ball is chopped and let's say hits home plate ( fair territory ) bounces and it is foul territory when caught, its foul! It's the position of the ball, when its touched before the bag!!
Where did you buy pump? And what fluid did you use?
The worst missed base I ever saw was the following situation: 14u, bases loaded, 2 outs, batter hits the ball out of the park. grand slam, except the runner on third went straight to the dugout without even getting close to home plate. Defense does a proper appeal. No runs score. Game ends 4-2 with the team who hit the grand slam the loser. Ugly.
Who the hell does that "reverse pivot"? It makes no sense to turn that way
Very good video with very simple explanations on balks.
What fluid did u use
I think he's making too big of a deal about how to pivot. As long as the base umpire is looking at the runner touching (or missing) the base, he's doing it fine. Also, he should mention that the defense does not have to throw the ball to the base that the runner missed. In this case, the runner missed 1st. The smarter way to do the appeal is to throw the ball to 2nd and tag the runner and inform the umpire that the runner missed 1st. The reason that is smarter is because; what if the runner (standing on 2nd) makes a break for 3rd when the ball is being thrown to 1st for an appeal? If the appeal is denied, the first baseman has to throw the ball completely across the diamond. This is particularly true if a runner (standing on 3rd) had missed 2nd. The smarter defensive appeal is to throw the ball to 3rd and tag the runner; that way, if the runner breaks for home during the appeal, there will be no need to throw the ball from 2nd to home.
It'd be nice to have this specifically for softball and for the 1 umpire system...I like how this crew teaches...
is this softball ? ump is *inside* the basepaths in baseball and moves on grounders when in A position
Correct but depends on age group, youth baseball no way you are standing inside the base paths, 60-90 yes I agree
Beautiful, but more info on where to get everything, the cost of materials, and parts list or numbers would be helpful, a break down of what you did step by step, i love the end result, i need this gate
Where did you find the duragate kit? And which ome did ypu go with?
Am a steering engineer by profession I work and repair all kinds of steering pump and racks for all kinds of cars
Cool I guess
This is by far one of the best balk videos I've seen. Why? The rules for balks as written say so much about what they pitcher *cannot* do. There are many subtle differences and it's hard to keep them straight. This video starts by explaining the very limited list of things the pitcher *can* do, and it puts all the "can't do" rules in context, making everything much clearer and easier to understand.
What is the backout plan for vxrail upgrade? Does it revert back every host upgrade of I revert vxrail manager snapshot?
What happen if the ball passes the bag but lands and hit the chark and then goes foul ? Fair ball correct ?
Fair
Best explanation! Thanks!
Is a ball foul if touched when it is in contact with the ground in foul territory, but the edge of the ball is still over the line?
Technically I believe it's still fair but in that situation it would probably be called the way the umpire views it.
OMG ; this is way I don't "like" baseball !!!!
The inside part of your thigh should be exposed in the slot as much as possible. This is one of the very best places to be hit. Make sure this are is exposed as much as possible. That will ensure that you get hit there more often. So extend out your leg and be in the slot as far as possible. That is what they call the slaught-er slot position. Good idea!
how do you get the plastic out? holy cow😭
Thanks for posting this, mine just went out. Same setup. Will definitely be replaying this 50 times on Saturday with a case of beer
What if the fielder is catching a fly ball in foul territory and it bounces off of the fielder and it goes into fair territory without hitting foul ground, is it fair or foul?
I believe so because first bounce would be in fair as a result of a player fielding. Similar to a fielder grabbing a bunt that would've rolled foul. But I could be wrong
When touched, look at the ball and pretend there's a straight hanging string below it to see if its fair or foul. Doesnt matter where fielder is, only the ball once touched.
@@ClintonCountyDroneGuy even if the ball never touches foul ground?
Joe wasn’t watching
Great explanation
Did you use any tools to get the new pulley on? Or did you only use grease to help it slide on.
