DOOSAN Remove/Install Sub Spindle 5C collet
What is the device used for holding the erector pin?
Hardness kya hota hai injector pin ka
Good job,but if you make core cavities from tool steel in the future make sure you grind surface
try putting drills in collets ( no drill chucks ) odd size drills turn down a shoulder on a lathe to nearest sized collet. I always dislikes using drill chucks.
Does the larger diameter head get pushed against the ejector plate to move pin when assembled?
Well done, it mentions enough details about how to process it.
If you controls set up for diameter and not radius on a single side it will only it will only cut the radius of the diameter you typed into the control so when you went from 3.7 - 3.698 the machine did what it was suppose to.
Can you do a coolant/chip control video?
What do you use your machine, power wise. Converter or what?
I run my auger from the beginning of my program and in the settings have it run for 2 minutes on out of 3 minutes I believe. The number of chips you have in your machine would drive me insane lol.
Have to ask, and sorry if this seems rude but how did you acquire an $100k+ machine?
the haas dm 2 is not that much
Around 95k with a few options.
How did you start up this operation? None of this machinery is cheap, so what did you do before you got enough cash to buy the good stuff?
So helpful Ty ! I've just bought a small CNC mill : to learn how to mill : with a view to making an aluminium mold : so seeing all these steps is super helpful, I'd go so far as to say invaluable :) it really gives me a feel for what I'm going to have to learn to do. Super envious of the proper "grown up" mill :) I do so hope you've kept documenting the mold making/ assembly, off to have a look now! as I say, ty.
I am subscribed to this youtube channel too MR.clonetrooperx39!
Hey, great video. I would collet the pin in your spindle, then square up a regular carbide insert lathe tool in the vise. It’s much easier to maintain tolerances. Just my two cents.

Core pins (stationary) aren't heat treated and can be milled. Sprue puller, return and ejector pins (dynamic) are nitrited producing a hard outside surface with a softer interior, traditional are ground to length. If milled with carbide may chip the edge.
i dont see how you do it without probing. im so happy i have digital probing now.
why not use a rougher with a chip breaker?
Chip splitter end mills for long aP dynamic roughing are the cat’s ass.
Great video, great info, thank you for sharing, we need people like you in every country

Dear bricktactical,Can you make meme pack? Cause it got sold out,I really want to buy it thats all brick tactical! 😃
"This is gonna be the thumbnail" Narrator: "It was not the thumbnail"
Its good trick that works really well especially for 1st ops on larger parts.
If you move the mobile jaw to the near side of the vise you can hold about 7 inches larger of material if your using a kurt 8.0.
What type of steel is it..the mould block
That's not bad. I used to use a .375" dowel pin to touch tools off before I got the haas/probes. You can get a super sensitive feel with a pin. IMO the probes are only REALLY worth it if you use them for automating things and in process checks that allow you to make good parts with less labor. Setting up tool and work offsets isn't all that much faster with probing IMO.
I use screw machine drill bits. They are shorter than Jobber bits and save a good bit of height especially when in a drill chuck.
That tool changer breakage made me poop a little when I first saw it. Glad it was only $50!
Loving the content dude 👌grim about the tool changer, but at least it's not damaged a huge casting. That could have been a lot more than $60! Could you program a manual tool change that way there is no chance you press cycle start after the option stop
What you have is a core pin. They are soft and on size. Ejector pins are undersized and are hardened
Can you tell me if i design mold should i keep any size of ejector pin? Like there is any limit? Or customized ejector pin is available?
Hello , welcome browse my video , we can make any sizes
Keep video posting, i want to lern more.
nice men!
yea nice try but wheres the probe
the video is good keep the good work
How'd you build up the finance to purchase the DM2?
Good stuff man
Great job dude, I felt your pain on the wear offset 😟 we've all done it 😂🤦
But where's your probe? :D
Cool dude 👍👌
I've been waiting for this video, and you didn't disappoint. Looking forward to the next one.
More!
Was that really 1hr 15min of roughing? What tool/speed /feed are you using? I just starting using 1 flute aluminum mills/routers (Onsrud and Accupro) for roughing and they work great for hogging out material.
That’s how you make the guns
Where's the updates?!?
Hi there just started listening to your podcast which is really good. Sorry if this is way off the mark but when I use comp on the Haas mill at work I need a radius, or diameter in your case, value in the offset page for the wear to be subtracted off of. Maybe your fusion software post works different to the solidcam post I use at work though.
I usually also remove the brim with a endmill if I have it in stainless or steel. Aluminium ain't gonna hurt your face mill forsure. But it's always a good thing to do no matter what
Looking forward to the complete series!
Really looking forward to seeing the next one!
Keep me coming! I'm looking forward to more videos on this mold.
