I find it very hard to accept that large groups of holy Rabbis would burn the books of the Rambam without legitimate grounds for such behaviour. The most logical conclusion is that the Rambam failed to do a thorough job of writing his books in a clear way that would not bring suspicion upon himself. Not only did he not bring sources for his halachic rulings, but he chose minority positions on various issues without explaining his position carefully. In the same vein, the Jewish people had no need for a Moreh Nevuchim if they had the Talmud. He created more doubt in Jewish minds through the questions he raised, than he resolved by his answers. People usually take the Rambam's side in this debate, but there were "Chashuv" Rabbanim in Provence and other areas that rejected his works, so I feel that it is more appropriate to take their side.

Bukhara used to be part of Greater Afghanistan which was called 'Khorasan' or Land of sun rising which throughout history due to how its referenced in Torah/Bible and Muhammad ﷺ , it was land of Exiled Israelites. Especially Northern Afghans look MOST AMERICAN! Except without reddishness. All of hadith scholars of Islam were jewish or Israelite, look at their lineage. How English is medium language most of world uses to speak in today, well PErsian was medium language back then. Speaking persian doesn't make you persian right? It doesn't. THey look nothing like Iran, especially when Iran is on opposite side of map. After one and another pagan invasion extermination, today Bukhara and uzbekistan is dominated by pagan population who replaced exterminate native Israelite population, same with tajikstan, same with etc. Except may say civil war in tajikstan, guarantuee you civil war is across ancestral lines of israelites against pagans. Bukhara used to be connected to talqan. Clearly persecution of semitic people caused migration from bukhara to overload talqan which where I'm born. My grandma and them told me this. Lots of lying in history to cover this up. I don't think Israelites were ever called 'jews' but 'bani israel, this is how Qurna calls them. Term yahood sounds like its being used talking about Turks and pagan ancestry jews who are enemies of GOd, always corrupting and instigating for wars and bankrupting destroying, doing this today against taliban, not form israel, not form America from far east, but have infiltrated West. Very religious pious people NOrthern Afghanistan. Same culture as taliban, whippings and stonings, all good stuff that keeps morality in check! Jacob's troubles in Torah/Bible is talking about 70% extermination, then 30% left which is supported by Muhammad ﷺ will conquer world by saving it. in Bible called 'sealed 144000 which is great reduction in population, bc afghanistan looks empty. Looks like a lot of pagans who are not originally from afghanistan are in afganistan now causing problems. Prophet ﷺ said from Khorasan which is Afghanistan comes dajjal followers of faces like shield, these are turkic or invaders, they were not in khorasan before, this is miracle of islam, bc originated from iran, not from iran either, came from above Iran from a hole or gog and magog people colonizing. MUHAMMAD ﷺ -“A GROUP(ISRAELITES) FROM MY UMMAH WILL FIGHT FROM TALQAN(MY BIRTH PLACE!) l(my birthplace hometown!) AND ITS AREA(AFGHANISTAN) BEING VICTORIOUS FOR TRUTH!” لا تزال طائفة من أمتي يقاتلون وعلى أبواب الطالقان وما حولها ظاهرين على الحق Taliqan (MY BIRTHPLACE HOME TOWN!) that at that place are treasures of Allah, but these are not of gold and silver but consist of people who have recognised Allah as they should have. Kol hakavod, Micah! Yes: our limited individual experiences, and the constrained circles in which we each travel, do blind us not only to the experiences of others, but to the potential power of our sacred text. (I think of Berakhot 28a, where Rabbi Yehoshua dresses down the deposed Rabban Gamliel, whose wealth had blinded him to the realities of his students and of the Torah itself). But we can learn from deep encounters with others, as you did -- and now we get to learn from you. Todah for this Torah, and for all you do for Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion within the Reconstructionist movement and the Jewish and larger world...

Rav Yitz : as i wrote in a chat comment which was read during your Zoom with Hadar recently. Your torah on humans being created in the Divine image has inspired us for decades. That’s why i was astonished and horrified when in that earlier talk you said seemingly sympathetic and favorable things about President Trump. Thank.God he has now been turned out of office. But his entire term and his entire life have been devoted to obliterating and degrading the image of God in all other people. Cheating workers, manipulating media, misusing government, gleefully crushing competitors, and while in the White House lying thousands of times, destroying immigrant families, putting children in cages, denying the pandemic and allowing tens of thousands to die avoidably, ridiculing and insulting disabled people, war heroes, women he finds unattractive, African nations, peaceful idealistic demonstrators, etc etc etc etc. You & Blu and i strongly disagreed forty years ago at your shabbat table and at the Sh’ma annual meeting about Ronald Reagan, whom you admired snd supported while i saw him as militarist, favoring plutocrats, insulting welfare recipients, encouraging racists, aiming to ravage the environment. But Reagan also believed in and indeed celebrated American leadership in the world, an independent judiciary, a free press, a two party give and take political system, human rights around the world, a shining city on a hill. Trump denies and does his best to destroy ALL of these. Why can’t you apply your wonderful theology to our current reality?! Love to Blu and your marvelous children and grandchildren. Happy Veterans Day and Kislev. Jon.
