    I'm not educated in mental health. I'm an engineer and used to be quite anxious at work. A particular source of anxiety used to be what people think of me. One thing that helped me was to express myself in a way that is similar to how I feel. E.g If I feel tired, I don't try to look good and energetic to my boss (balanced approach, I don't allow myself to fall asleep in the discussion). This counterintuitively seems to allow me to have better interactions with others at work. I suppose I also worked on the insecurity of how I am perceived, which I suspect is quite common in my industry. Is that what you mean by 'rationalising' the problem? Also, I take small walks throughout the day, which reduces anxiety also.

      @StartsWithMeChannel 15 дней назад

      Hey @heat_seeker thank you so much for watching and sharing your experience and question. It sounds like you’ve found a great way to manage anxiety by aligning your outward expression with how you actually feel, which can really reduce internal tension. Accepting and showing up as yourself, rather than masking your emotions, likely contributes to the relaxed, genuine interactions you’re experiencing. It's difficult to answer such thoughtful questions in the comments, in reference to your "rationalizing" I think I am referring to trying to find the "root" of the anxiety or having to tell ourselves a story that makes sense of it. That thinking can get us into a trap rather than facing the worry like you described in your experience at work. I hope that helps. Or let me know if I missed your point/question.

Been using for 16 years, and even with some of my closest friends and their excess use, I never understood how they could use so much during a day, but they have and some still do. He told me hes a better driver and person on it because hes not addicted to it. There is never a good time to talk to him about anything because he is always high and he says im just a downer. I dont smoke it but like alcohol i can take a gummie or a drink once in awhile. He stsrted when he was 15 and hasnt stopped. He wont stop or cut back he says he has no issue and if i have issues with it i can leave. We have been married 13 years. He says he has way more friends than me but none of them even know he smokes weed. I am ready to leave! He is in the gsrage more than in the house and smoking weed morning noon and night. He got a ticket for having it in his car once and lost his license for 30 days he was thinking of leaving me because i was so upset about it and he said it was no big deal! He was also an alcoholic and says that almost killed him but weed is different! Hes spent almost all our money on it makes horrible financial decisions and is now looking for a new job very slowly. I asked what if he is drug tested and he said no biggy he can get it out of his system in no time but that he is not worried or stopping until that day he is told he needs a drug test. Its not only the God thing that is a problem in AA. AA has a 5-10% success rate, and it is the voices of that 5-10% heard extolling its virtues. AA is vehemently being debunked by professionals in the field. If you are struggling in AA. IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. You are not "constitutionally incapable of being honest" with yourself. AA's idealogy can be damaging for some and even deadly. If you're one of the 5-10%, my "hat is off to you," but please do not encourage struggling, vulnerable people to get into the program more. 5-10% is pretty low odds to bet someones life on!
