I saw Richard Clapton and band many times around 1977, and couldn't take my eyes off Diane. She looked so natural and serene, and somewhat shy and unpretentious, often looking at Richard rather than the audience. So sad to hear of her early death.

No one will ever know what it was like to grow up in the best place in the world at the best time in its history - except me and a few other immensely lucky people who lived within 5 minutes of the best water in the world: the northern beaches of Sydney

I was there when they opened for Quo in 1978 at The Civic Theatre in Newcastle. They were awesome! David Hinds on lead guitar was worth the price of admission that night!

😢😢😢 God rest her soul. I saw Diane perform at Macquarie Uni in 1976 . She was a superb singer who added great choral depth to Claptons music and her presence gave the band visual glamour and style .

Great surf shots, but I dont think it fits with the movie, which has nothing to do with surfing killer waves. It was about discovring the secrets of the NSW North Coast. Anyway, where the hell can you get the movie. It has completely disappeared.
