Thanks for making this video. It was really helpful. I just bought used Bmpcc 4k. Got couple of queries. It would be great if you could help. 1. I got LP-E6 batteries, it shows voltage as 7.8 on full charge, somehow it goes to 6.8 voltage really fast (recording option Pro Res - HD - 422) and the battery icon turns red, I don't know if the battery is draining or what and will the voltage go back to 7.8? How to know how much % of battery is pending and how much it will record without any issue. 2. I have very basic SD card for now with transfer speed of 75mps, I know its not best fitted for this camera but for the testing purpose I have been using it. What i have realised is that the camera starts showing warning sign (on red record icon) after 2 min of recording, i assuming it is not able to write to the card as the file size is getting bigger. Getting a better and faster Cfast card might be able to resolve this issue, what do you think? 3. I thought I will be able to live without autofocus but seems like I will need it. I have also got the Cannon EF adapter with this camera, I am assuming using it will enable this camera with autofocus (i dont know how), please advise. 4. What lens would you suggest which is cheaper (zoom lens) and also has stabilizer in it? 5. Also I have observed that which shooting handheld, in the screen it looks like the recording is stable but when I transfer the file to Mac, I see there is a lot of shakiness, how to fix it? Thank you in advance.
Hey man, it's always great to hear that my videos have actually helped someone. To your questions: 1.) The thing with LP-E6 batteries is that no matter which brand for your batteries you choose, they will always go empty really quick! (Mine lasts for about 30min) That's why I have bought a couple of them. Now, with some batteries you can actually see on your screen how much % of your battery you have already used, while other brands tell you nothing about it. Unfortunately, it is what it is... 2.) With that you're absolutely correct! The memory of your SD Card might be important, but as you pointed out, the transfer speed is equally important! So depending on your budget, I would choose an SD Card that's as fast as possible! 3.) Unfortunately, I'm not an expert when it comes to Autofocus, since I never use it. All my lenses are manual. However, what I can tell you is that an Canon EF Adapter alone will not "activate" your autofocus. You definitely need a lens which supports it! 4.) As mentioned, I only use vintage lenses (which are all manual). But I've read a lot of great things about the Sigma 18-35mm Zoom lens. I'm pretty sure that it also supports image stabilization! 5.) For this, I have a tutorial on this channel that you could check out if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/pegsb9sSX7I/видео.html Hopefully I was able to answer your questions! Thanks again for watching my videos!

Thanks for your comment man! There are numerous ways how to go about this. For my 3d models, I use a website called 3dwarehouse. There are dozens of tutorials on RUclips that teach you this stuff....

Hey I understand it’s been about two years already, but I just bought a Helios 44-2 with a a Leica mount adapter already attached, I was looking to also use a M4/3 adapter but found that the mount in the lens was not the screw type. So my question is are you able to detach the inner screw on this adapter from the pins on the side, or is it a permanent feature?
Hey, if you want you can ask me the same question in 5 years, it‘s perfectly fine :) Now, unfortunately, I need to disappoint you, because it is permanent. I don‘t see any way how to change that…

Are some of the shots handheld?
Actually, almost all of the shots are handheld. I stabilize the clips in post.
Is there a way to do dual simultaneous recording with this camera to backup your recording in case one of the recording media stop functioning?
Unfortunately, there is no option to do that on the pocket 4K. However, as long as you have a battery solution, you should not run into this problem. Thank you for that question 👍

guess the samsung would be faster than the sd cards as mentioned also.. so cfast first place, samsung ssd for memory size and budget. and sd card lastly if your looking for shooting without peak perfomance? i been hearing that sd cards dosn't allow you to shoot in peak performance this is the only one where i hear the opposite.. i wish i could choose. i want to save money but i still want to use my 4k to the maximum abillity
Yeah, that's the thing. I'd probably get anxiety, when thinking about that. Peak performance with a SD card? That's definitely a no-go. The BMPCC 4k would perhaps crash after a few seconds, when trying to shoot with BRAW 3 or 5 to 1 and 60 FPS. But still, being a simple hobby filmmaker, SDs totally work for me. BRAW 12 or 8 to 1 and 24/30 FPS are enough for me and my workflow. Thanks again for your comment!
