Would you have a video with a heat pump and boiler heating system, to trigger the boiler after 30 min if the heat pumps does not deliver the right flow temperature or is in fault for example? A bit like a sequence. start heat pump, ensure we reach flow temp setpoint, otherwise wait 30 min and start boilers.

How can you make them writable from a third party software? Thanks in advance.
When you discover the BACnet point, and if its a writable point, it will auto select and you can then enable the BACnet writable option in Niagara.
Used this today (((from the future))). Thanks for the videos.
Hi sir - the subscribe point stale issue resolved?
Hi Paul, looking to bring a large Trend network on to a N4 supervisor. In terms of usability is this stuff fairly straight forward in terms of being able to adjust setpoints/time clocks/ knobs etc or is there software which has to be written in Tridium to allow certain points to work correctly? Also how was the Tech support from these guys, are they easy to get a hold of for uk tech support ?
I would and have use a trend driver and support is good in the UK. See www.innon.com/products/dr-in-iqtcp-500
Hello, this explanation is very interesting. I would like to know if I can connect this device to a sensor or float for a water tank since the pump is about 600m away and we want it to turn off when the tank fills. Thank you very much for your collaboration. If you have power there which you will have for the pump and you will need to use a Modbus switch module, if it was me i would use this device at www.innon.com/products/isma-b-4o-h its a 4 output unit and can receive MODBUS signal, its 24VAC or DC, so you would have to use a 240VAC to 24V AC or DC transformer.
@@NiagaraTridium muchas gracias por tu colaboracion.

Hi Maxking, Thank you for your great video. How to get or create the Bell alarm with the number of active alarm? And how did you get those nice Icon? Thanks for your answer and have a great day 😊

Hi! I am trying to get the MSTP childs from a Niagara 4 station from a 3rd party software (YABE) but i can not get to do it. The router table is atomatically created and it has some issues, do you know what to do?
On the Niagara 4 controller you need to export the BACnet points you want YABE to see. You need to go to BACnet network, expand it, and Export Points. Once in this folder, you can search and add the BACnet points to this export folder. Then the BACnet points will be available to view from a third-party device, including YABE.
Please look at Video #105 about adding the BACnet points into the export folder to then discover via YABE of a Niagara 4 controller.
Thanks a lot for the reply! I have found one issue, in all my JACE devices in log history I get the error "possible loop on network 47808" and it is turning off the routing functionality. In one JACE I have an IP bacnet device (UPS device) in a network number 47808, but neither of the JACE's IP networks and MSTP network are that number (lets say IP0=network 10, ip1=network 20, MSTP=network 30). Also in neither of the Network numbers from all the others JACEs correspond to Network 47808. I have seen that port also in the routing table, but it can not be edited by hand. And the UPS device is working correctly, if I change the Network number to another that is not found in the Network i.e. 47000, the UPS device stop working. How can I find the 47808 network? O what do you think is going on?
@@TECHMEXICO The 47808 is the hex BAC0 and this is what port we are using when communicating via BACnet, be it IP or MS/TP (2 wire). So on the Niagara 4 controller under slot:/Drivers/BacnetNetwork/bacnetComm/network/ipPort you will see in brackets the IP address (192.168.1.125:0xBAC0) Standard. You say network number 47808, you do not want a network number like this, so just create your own network number, for example like 6262 or any number as long as another device on the network does not have the same ID, you will be fine.
Thanks for this, very informative. any chance of a video on templates? And access to an installed controller without usernames and passwords set by original installer?
Will do, I am on site for the next couple of weeks, but will see what I can do.
Hi Paul, I can't see your screen as the resolution is set to 360p
Let it render to 4K then you will see it, give it a bit of time then load it.
@@NiagaraTridium Thanks mate. I was being a bit premature there!
Great videos, any plans for an optimised VT heating video?
Just uploaded the video now, give it about 2 hours before checking so RUclips can render this video to 4K, this is video number # 103
legend thank you !
hi, random one . but are you doing anymore distech videos . it would be nice to see how you transfer gfx to wb visa versa . cheers Ian
I can do more GFX to Workbench videos. The transfer is easy as I always use BACnet network to move the points across from a GFX (ECY-S1000 for example) to a workbench system.
@@NiagaraTridium legend thank you !
tbf anything you will do on distech i will be very grateful ! and thank you for responding!
@@iantorry3090 Uploading Video #102 shows you how to take the BACnet points from the Distech into the Niagara controller using BACnet. I would give it about 1 hour to let it upload and process the video to 4K
Hi Maxking, First thanks for making those training videos 🤝 I have a question about the Rotational Load Sequencer. How can we Enable/Disable Enum writable outputs (out1, 2, 3, 4) I would like to use Boolean point for ON/OFF on graphic but with an enum Switch we can only do enable* or disable* on 2 separate buttons🤔?
If you have an Enum you only have 1 output on an enum, and you can set the value out depending on the input, so if you send a 1 on the input then it will output a 1, and so on for the values going in. The enum is normally used to display a string text depending on the input. You would normally place the enum on the PX graphic sheet, so your client can then select the enum text using the set command for the output they want.
Great work thank you for your help Mate
No problem 👍
Can’t these videos be recorded in higher video quality ? Texts are blurry and can’t read a thing
I have just uploaded it, you tube is rendering the video and is finished now. you should see its now ok.
Much better . Thanks mate
Love your work! Are you excited for Niagara5?
Thank you and yes, will be when it happens in 2025. N4.14 is released soon in Q3 and N4.15 first quarter in 2025 will be the last release that supports the Jace 8000. And they are going to do a big push with the Niagara cloud.
Hi, I’m using a Lora 223 on my Solis solar inverter to monitor grid supply meter. I have managed to get it working and communicating when the LCD screens are illuminated but when the LCD screen of the Lora unit goes off it stops communicating and my Solis inverter goes into alarm. I then have to press the function button on both Lora units and then communication starts again??? It’s like the Lora units go to sleep when LCD screen goes off . I have it on standard Lora radio settings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ian
Solis inverters don't seem to like this LoRa module, normally they are used with the Giv Energy inverters which i have and using them fine with this type of inverter. I know that does not help you much, but I do know that the LoRa radios do not go off when the screen goes off, so that's not the issue. I think its down to the polling of the MODBUS signal on the LoRa Radio, have you increased the polling ? [PPTM] - Poll Idle - select the digit you are wanting to change using the FUNC button and adjust the value using the enter button. Default 900 Sec Interval Min - select the digit you are wanting to change using the FUNC button and adjust the value using the enter button. Thanks. A lot of useful info there condensed into 20mins. Good to see real world scenarios explained 👍
Glad it was helpful!
I would be happy to see you do a video on writing logic. I really like the way you organize things in those software folders and so on.
See ruclips.net/video/Zj8ImmY6_NA/видео.html
Thanks again mate. First time using this controller and it seems to be a much better solution for package units.
hey. hope you don't mind me asking but how would you write a set point adjuster in to the logic please ?
All you would do is use a numeric writable and hide all slots apart from the set slot. That will be your graphic setpoint. You can change -inf to the low value and +inf to the max value. That way the user can only adjust from your min to max value.
@@NiagaraTridium thank you very much !makes perfect sense now you've said it !!
Love these videos, hope you're well Paul. Cheers Mark
Glad you like them Mark, hope you are good.
You have to write 2 x 32 bit, unless you have a Distech SYS 1000 controller and this accepts 64bit values to read and write.
Thanks for the video... But how is possible to write to a int64 register?
How to read a 64-bit integer in the Modbus driver? In some devices, such as energy meter, a 64-bit value is used to save totalized consumption. However in the Niagara Modbus driver only supports 16-bit and 32-bit integer type. Divide the 64-bit integer into two 32-bit integers points. For example, the register is 40001. we read 2 long(32-bit) type points: data40001 and data40003, then combine. result = data40001 * 4294967296 + data40003. In some implementations, the high 32-bit and the low 32-bit are swapped. So the result would be : result = data40003 * 4294967296 + data40001. Consult the register listing of the product for details of byte/word order.
Thanks Paul, That was really helpful. The only point I can see on my RMC3 is the status of the RMC at the moment, nothing else. I will get there......... Got the Crestron working with Niagara. Workbench does not always find the device, manually add it then discover the points being hosted by the Crestron. Thanks again
Good Morning Paul. I am a Crestron programmer, booked to take my Niagara in May. You mention in this video about Crestron points, please could you do a little video on how to create 'Virtual' BacNet points in Niagara for Crestron to use. On an ISMA controller I can directly control and read the ins and outs, But would like to create a boolean writable with its own BacNet point. Really appreciate the videos you have created. Regards, Paul
Paul, you have to make the point on your Crestron for then the Niagara to read from.
Or for Niagara to send to. You control the points on the Crestron for any point that's Crestron adjustable. Then the Niagara controller will bring that point in and control to your setpoint or occupied/unoccupied value. You can read the from the Niagara any temps via BACnet as long as its in the Niagara BACnet export table if using BACnet.
@@NiagaraTridiumI see, I thought it was always Crestron looks at Niagara which has a virtual BacNet point, and changes the point there. So in CrestronI create my Binary with a ObjectID 171, load into Procesoor In Niagara then 'Discover' like we would do with say an ISMA Mix and import the point. Thank you Paul. Regards, Paul.

After heating or cooling the room , how can i know the supply temp , the fan is giving
I would put a temperature sensor on the output of the supply fan. With FCUs we have a temperature sensor on the return air before it goes into the fan and Htg/Clg coils and then a temperature sensor on the supply air, just after the heating/cooling coil. We also have a temperature sensor on the space wall about 1.5 meters from the floor.
Hello mate, did you ever find the 'perfect' solution?
So where does the MAC36 points folder sit? The actual I/O. Do U have to set up an ismaIO network?
yes you will need to set this network up in your Station/Drivers.
@@NiagaraTridium I thought so. I suspected you would need to 100% for other isma IO modules, just wasn't sure about the MAC36 since it holds the station. Tha js for the reply, nice videos.
Video quality is terrible mate, can’t see it. Any chance of re uploading?
You must have looked when its just been uploaded, give it 1 hour and you will find its at good quality. Check it out now.

Perfect timing! Can do one for AC in future please? Do you have any tips for Daikin logic for meeting rooms in an office block? UK based. Cheers
Do you have any description of the operation for the office Block meeting rooms? I have worked with daikin DMS502A51 via BACnet in the past, and it is easy to pull in the points and adjust the set setpoints.
I don’t I’m reviewing someone else’s. I’m new to this so trying to learn. They have season control - winter, autumn/spring and summer. Between those it selects setpoints. Would you advise this?

Hi Paul . do you have a video of how you link the points to the logic please or what video number is it please
Look at Video 80 for the FCU.
Hi sir, your videos very difficult to view because of resolution. is It possible to share good resolution.
When it first loads, the res is low, but RUclips will adjust about 1 hour after it has loaded to the 1080 res.
Great video. Is it possible to email this data as one graph? Thanks!
Yes it is, you would make a history chart with the data and email it as a PDF.
I work at a large company that uses this system. However, I don't mess with logic and I would like to learn to be a complete professional and get a promotion. How can I train? I can download the platform and train for free?
We use N4 workplace, this software has to be purchased, its about £130 for a system integrator and once installed you get a host ID that you send to Tridium and they license it.
