I used to have this game on game boy advanced. I could never beat it because my RB was broken so I couldn’t secure any hostages. It was still really fun though! So different than the PC version

The entire rainbow 6 series was my start to FPS games. One of the old classic R6 maps had a glitch on it where if you sat on the edge of the road you could see your friends running down a specific hallway. My friend was trying to find me, running down the hallway and the glitch allowed me to see him and calculate when to launch my grenade, hit him right as he opened the door, never told him about the glitch because he was pompous and always thought he was God's gift to gaming 😂, it was nice to be able to knock him down a peg.

loved the 5200 but the controllers were the downfall, toys R us changed them for me at least twice a month

Ah, the Microsoft side winder pro! Loved that joystick- I played MANY hours of X-wing with that baby. I always wanted the force feedback variant, but my understanding is that they broke down a lot more frequently.

I did the same upgrade but I also replace the rubber boots with new high collar ones from V61. There were two versions of the 5200 controller rubber boot, one with a center collar higher than the rest and one with the center collar lower like the rest. The higher collar version centers the joystick much better than the lower collar one.

This is priceless. So many memories doing this with my dad. Thank you.
