@@mybadlydrawnflag1814 dampening springs meant to decrease the force with which the clapper strikes the bell and prevent the “double strike” you see in the video (the spring in this bell is original and worn out).

The biggest bell's hammer needs some mintenance. It's hitting the bell while it swings.
@@LesClochesQuébécoises good eye - this was recorded during a renovation project and at the time of recording some linkages were disconnected and this was not noticed until after the peal was executed.
