This chanel shows exclusively ArchiCAD Tutorials made by myself.
Initially they were mady for myself. It's easier to remember when you got a video for that.
Now I decided to publish them on condition that there may are easier or more effective solutions.
The tutorials are in german. Send me an email if you'd like to see this video in English. The more mails = the bigger the chance I will translate it ;)

ARCHICAD hotlink - wrong material priority
If you use hotlinks in Archicad and there is a wrong cutting so that there willl be shown a material which should not be there, then it may depend on the chosen material in the multicoat parts. This is the content of the video.

ArchiCAD morph extrusion by tube

Ein Morphobjekt entlang eines 3D-Pfades extrudieren. There is also an english version of this video
Dringende Hilfe! :)
I'm following the steps, but the curves are not being followed. Can I just click on the path and the form follows it, instead of going to each point? Thank you for the video. BR
Great tutorial but I can't get to make it work with a square profile. It doesn't follow the curvature of the morph line. Is this possible only with a round profile ?
I don't know how you got the chamfer icon in the pet palette although I followed the steps. My morph lines won't chamfer. Can you explain how to?
hello, thx a lor for this video. Can you tell me what to do if during the following the path, the nods are not automatically selected? I event tried with Q...
don't know exactly what you mean, but the nods are the start and beginning of a path and so this should be the picks you choose. In case of a bow - like in the video - the extrusion would not follow the bow. But they don't get "automatically" cathed. You have to click them nod by nod. And if you mean that your curser didn't recognize the nod, the problem may be something disturbing in the view you chose. Did you connect the extrusion form with the path? Hope that helps though.
wow super it helped remind me the way to create basin mixer for bathroom.
Thank you so much, this is excellent
you're welcome
Much thanks; just gave me a cheatcode to a complex project i'm handling
THANKS, HE DON'T KNOW HOW MAKE PIPELINE FLEXIBLEAND THAT SAVE ME LIFE.
Great stuff.
Just started using Archicad, very useful, thanks

I dont have the option to extrude my morphs....i am on archicad 20
Well, I think you do have this tool. Once activatet a surface of a morph a is box opening with tools you can use. The first tool on the left is the extrusion tool and the second one ist the tube tool. These tools are there since version 16.
We can use the magicwand to select the path?
Edit: No, as far as I know you can't use it on the path. I checked it right now and found no way. I think it's because you have to pick the beginning of the path first and then there is no possibility to use the magic wand.
Gracias :)
de nada :)
Perhaps you could avoid the visible segmentation by increasing the number of segments. Design->Modify Morph->Modify Segmentation ... You double the number of segments as many times untill you get the desired result. I can not try it right now but I think it might work. Hope this helps somebody. Thank you for a very usefull tutorial. Greetings
Well, I tried but the segments only changed in the circle form an not in the bow. So this topic was a great video to show - how about you? ;) Thanks for your interest ! :)

Hi, could you explain the step when you create the path?. Is there any trick to do it? Because I cannot manage to do it. Thanks for the video!
You can create the path as you like. Only thing to consider ist, that you have to use a morph line. Morphs can be created with forms or lines. Those lines you have to yuse. AND the form has to be related to the path. So you activate the path first, before you draw the form. You have to couple it. Thanks for your interes ! :)
Great video, maybe you can try instead of creating 2 tubes and subtracting them, to follow the same steps, but one is just a hollow circle already, and use the other one as a guide, you skip then the subtract step.
Yes, I showed that possibility at the end of the video. But that works only with 2D paths. With a 3D path the second object doesn't follow the same way the guide object does. I haven't found a working way yet.
