Thank you so much! My grandma had the LG WM3400 set at her last place. That was just a regular LG front load stand-alone washer and dryer set that happened to be stacked. At her new place, she has a compact LG washer-dryer combo.

This is a post 2017 machine, so it has the government mandating in the programming, making the normal cycle on this machine the worst one out of all of them. For that reason, I try to avoid the normal cycle at all costs.

@@Spacebarf Yes, they did in 2017 to “save the environment”. I care about the earth and all, but out of all the things they could’ve mandated, why washing machines? Also, a lot of people film their washing machines, and collect them. It’s crazy what blows up on the internet these days. I’ve seen washing machine videos with hundreds of thousands and even millions of views.

He’s right. The normal cycle of a washer is government mandated, to pass energy and water regulation laws.

@@maxbubbles6009 a whirlpool that made a loud grinding noise and i just was done with it. unfortunately ive had a NIGHTMARE with this LG!! first off it came scratched and the dispenser tray frame is bent. i called within 24 hours. the people who delivered it were 3rd party 20 yr olds throwing things around in a bad mood. so homedepot goes well send a tech out in a few days on monday. monday comes no one calls or shows. i call home depot back and there like oh we cancelled it because the person put a tech in from homedepot when it should be a LG tech. so then im like well now what?? so their like let me connect you to LG, i wait 20 minutes and get disconnected. call back home depot a 3rd time, they again finally connect me to someone in india for LG who i cant understand with babies crying in the background. hes like let me connect u to the washer department. and im thinking is that in your basement of your house? so they connect me again to someone i can barely hear. she goes we have no LG techs in your area we have to call a 3rd party handyman tech to come to your house and hell call you within 48 hours to set up a appointment. guess what, its been 48 hours and no call. $800 for this headache and already missed 2 days of work and its not even fixed yet.

That is awful. Now I know not to buy Speed Queen. Their front load washers are way too small for me. They’re only 3.5 cu.ft, and I want AT LEAST 5 cubic feet, preferably more. The LG WM9500 is 5.8 cubic feet. Speed Queens also don’t really have the features I would want, or a clear door on the dryer. My grandparents have had their TR5 set for 5 years, and I think they like them. I personally would have kept the Roper washer, and the Kenmore dryer they had before.

@@maxbubbles6009 Yeah they’re definitely not what everyone says… My TR7 was just about useless when it came to washing anything stained/dirty. The roper/kenmore set was probably much better

100% agree with you on LG. I’ve used multiple LG front loaders, and they’ve all been amazing. If I were to replace this, which I want to, I would get an LG front loader. The cold wash cycle, the cycle this was on, is not a government mandated cycle though. Not all washer have this cycle, so I don’t think it would have as many regulations as the normal cycle would.

Yeah. I don’t know if this is what’s causing the noise though. It’s highly possible.
