D16y7 to y8 Intake Manifold Swap Problems: High idle, Surging idle, Air Injection Hole Issues
The breather sense? where is the slot in your cold air intake?
The slot for the breather hose is tilted downward so that it’s visually cleaner you can put it where ever you want as lost as the filter still fits under the hood.
try to short the exciter wire ( the small red one ) to the frame, the pilot light should go on, if not, your witing harness is in trouble. On these Bish alternators, if the exciter wire is not plugged, your alternator should kick in at about 2500 engine RPM and after it should charge normally. If the harness is OK, check the continuity of the rotor winding, if OK, replace the regulator and have the slip rings resurfaced. To what I see, the most frequent failure is the stator winding that shorts to its frame good luck.

Do you know by any chance from what vehicles do front and rear shocks fit on 1st gen Trooper, here in my country there isnt really any market support for them.
Can you get anything shipped to you? Rockauto is available in the US I’m not sure if you have heard of it before? If not eBay is another one to try. It’s a very generic shock absorber design I would say the rear shocks are 3ft long fully extended and the fronts are 2.5ft fully extended. As long as you find a vehicle that used the stud on the top and bushing on the bottom like I have in the video you’ll be golden.
@@jacksonodonal7960 shipping is not worth it, it would be more expensive than shocks, so thats a no go. I think front ones fit from Isuzu Amigo (Opel frontera), but for rear i dont know maybe from montero mk2?
So my cr85 cuts out or bogs down whenever your cruising or full throttle, it has a 125 main. Should I go up to 130? It cuts out and bogs pretty bad at full speed
It’s hard to tell not being there in person. But if I was you I would go ahead and buy a 130 and a 120 and try both. One of those will get you in the right range as long as everything else is in order. Try that and let me know if that works out.
@@jacksonodonal7960 so I switched the main to a 122 because that’s what I heard online was best with the fmf exhaust, it still did the same thing so I ended up trading for a 250 lmao. I appreciate the help tho man!
@@matthewmangrum1739 hey that’s one way to fix it.
Mine needed a top end, so just keep that in mind
That air comp is way too small.
150psi don't matter the cfm is what you want to pay attention too
You need more cfm on your air compressor Bubba.
What is cfm if you don’t mind me asking? How much air it can put out or something?
Trooper is looking great. Love my 1986. If your gas tank doesn’t hold up, I used a brand new tank for an 80’s era Jeep CJ. Practically bolted right up to the trooper. Keep up the good work.
Wow! I wish I knew that before I bought a rust free tank a while ago. Totally would have tried that but that’s great to know for future projects

well I completely missed the part where you installed the seal and gasket - main part and i thought you would tell wether or not to use any sealant or what type
Hi yeah I didn’t show me putting the gasket on the cover I definitely should have but you just put a light coat of the permatex black oil resistant rtv on the whole gasket and a little bit extra on the little rubber half circle on the back of the valve cover. Hope this helps let me know
How much did this cost
50 bucks on amazon

@@jacksonodonal7960 It is the same as the one I have, except that it has been impossible for me to assemble the engine part due to lack of information on the system of all the hoses because I bought it already disassembled and it was possible for me to have it assembled by the person who disassembled it. It's the 4ze1
@@danielguzman9061 thankyou for translating it
honda fit more like honda fits up your ass
Worth changing out the distributor O-ring seal while in there. Sometimes what looks like a rear VC leak on these is just the cheap o-ring. Easy to pull it out with the valve cover off.
Yeah I’ll try that out it’s been good to me for now though.
*Promo sm*
What could be that mine is idling to high and running away?
Sounds like a crank seal. Or big vaccum leak somewhere. If there’s oil coming from your stator cover then check your crank seal. My CR80 did that when I bought it.
It was that crank seal replaced that and now she iddles perfect thanks alot

Yes what’s your with the half seal thing in the back ? Guy I bought it off said he made a piece for that It’s leaking quite a bit in a 30 mile run
Yeah if he made something for it you should definitely buy a new valve cover gasket.
Is it only those thee bolts down the middle holding the cover on ?
Yeah surprisingly it is!
where can i get those three bolts for replacement, being a dummy i lost 2 of mine
Hi there ! Just picked up a 89 Guy said he replaced valve cover gasket because it was leaking. Looks like it still is ! I need to get it to stop leaking. Looking forward to your video and any others and tips if you got any !
Yeah make sure the gasket surfaces are cleaned very well I’m sure he probably didn’t clean it. Then use some RTV on the front and back parts of the gasket like I show in the video. Let me know if that works man!
Can we hear it please
I can show it but it has to be non copyright music is the only thing
This guy obviously doesn't know what he doing 😅
If you could post a video on your channel that shows me the correct way to troubleshoot a carburetor please do because this is the way I learned.
For one the bike to small for u need 125 like I have an need to clean ur bike it's a mess an the carb u need wear gloves an carb cleaner not starter fluid take out floats clean whole carb an use air hose blow it out u would look more professional that's all I'm saying bro I have yz125 2003 I know I do it all the time
