Neji, Lee, and even Shino. Top of their game in the chunin exams yet were wasted terribly in the future episodes. Mind you, there are other characters who too lacked character development, in fact most of the konoha 13 did in general. But those top 3 hurt the most, when you watch the exams. Even the sasuke retrieval arc hurts to watch knowing how shippuden treats them all after. I will always appreciate Kishimoto for the story, but if one day he wishes to rewrite Naruto to fix the story or even make it better. I’m all in to help. As I’m sure Naruto explained, Nchammer, and Dygo would pitch in to help all the way.
